The book page links to a blog post that explains how I got about it (and has a link to sample content), but the TL&DR is that I could not find a lot of books that were on "our" history _and_ were larded with technical details. I got sick of spending 5 minutes finding a class I liked. I got even sicker of constantly taking the three instructors that just dump new courses out daily. Hi there, I've decided to jump on the AI train and put something together with low effort & high reward, to see if it can get any traction. What do you think? Is it a promising area?
