LLM-Generated Wikipedia

Since ChatGPT became popular, I've been wondering: what would an LLM-powered app that's not chat-centric look like ? Would an encyclopedia that's almost entirely generated on-the-fly be any good? Can we use AI hyper links to replace most of the typing? Since I haven't found anything close to what I had in mind, I decided to give it a try and see for myself. I used to play the Wikipedia Game in high school and had an idea for applying the same mechanic of clicking from concept to concept to LLMs. Will post another version that runs with an LLM entirely in the browser soon, but for now, please enjoy as long as my credits last... After reading gwern’s post two days ago about LLM Daydreaming [0], I wanted to just see how it would behave. I grabbed the top vital article titles from wikipedia [1] and made a simple next js app to try the prompt in a loop. It was pretty interesting to see the connections made between concepts. I haven't seen anything like this so I decided to build it in a weekend. How it works: You see a bunch of things pulled from Wikipedia displayed on cards. You ask yes or no questions to figure out which card is the secret article. The AI model has access to the image and wiki text and it's own knowledge to answer your question. Happy to have my credits burned for the day but I'll probably have to make this paid at some point so enjoy. I found it's not easy to get cheap+fast+good responses but the tech is getting there.
