In plain words
Rill is a free Mac browser designed for developers using Claude Code and Codex agents. Users can press a keyboard shortcut on any webpage to send tasks to their agents, which work in the background while browsing continues. The browser automatically organizes tabs by theme, searchable history by day, and consolidates all agent projects in one place. It requires no setup, integrates with existing Claude Code or Codex installations, and runs on the user's own account without additional costs.

Rill is an AI-native browser built around the Claude Code and Codex you already use. Browse normally, then press ⌘E on any page to turn what you're looking at into a task for your agent. Rill finds the right project, passes along the context, and the agent works while you keep browsing. It also sorts your tabs into themes, turns your history into days you can search, and brings every project your agents are working on into one place. Free, on the plan you already have.
Rill is a free Mac browser where your Claude Code and Codex agents work beside you. Tell your agent from any page, and keep browsing while it gets done.
It finds your projects in your Claude Code and Codex history. There is nothing to set up. A demonstration with a sample project. In Rill it is your own Claude Code or Codex, in your own projects. As I started to use Claude Code to do more random tasks I realized I could basically build any CLI tool and it would use it. So I built one that controls the browser and open-sourced it. It should work with Codex or any other CLI-based agent! I have a long term idea where the models are all local and then the tool is privacy preserving because it's easy to remove PII from text, but I'd definitely not recommend using this for anything important just yet. You'll need a Gemini key until I (or someone else) figure out how to distill a local version out of that part of the pipeline. Github link:…
Smooth CLI – Token-efficient browser for AI agentsFeb 2026 · docs.smooth.sh · ▲109Hi HN! Smooth CLI (https://www.smooth.sh) is a browser that agents like Claude Code can use to navigate the web reliably, quickly, and affordably. It lets agents specify tasks using natural language, hiding UI complexity, and allowing them to focus on higher-level intents to carry out complex web tasks. It can also use your IP address while running browsers in the cloud, which helps a lot with roadblocks like captchas (https://docs.smooth.sh/features/use-my-ip).
