Hi HN! First time posting. I created a tool for my Autistic son who is in high school junior battling severe ADHD symptoms. His difficulties include; 1. Time blindness 2. Lack of executive functioning skills 3. Task initiation issues These three were severely affecting his grades. We had a consultation with a Developmental Psychologist who prescribed Concerta that improves his ability to focus in class. In addition he also has the boilerplate ADHD accommodations(2X time on tests and quiet place to take the test). These collectively improved his test taking abilities. But, when it came to his…

I really struggle to keep my notes organised, and often can't make any sense of hand written notes after meetings. I did some experiments with Claude and ChatGPT where I blast random thoughts at them during a meeting or brainstorming session and then have them output a nice document that pulls it all together at the end. It worked incredibly well but it was a bit cumbersome to keep sending messages to the chat and telling the ai each time what to do. So I took the idea and built a tool, it makes it easy to throw random notes and voice recordings (images and document support on the way) and…

As someone with ADHD, depression and on the autism spectrum, I get in my head A LOT. Every time I run into an issue I create a tool for it. - I should post on Hacker News, but my app is not good enough > challenge my inner critic. - I want to binge eat instead of working > use the catch the urge feature and follow a strategy - Task is too overwhelming > task breakdown and copy the tasks to my notepad - I really don't want to get started on a task > procrastination solver Would love your feedback and any questions are welcome :)

Hey all, I’ve been working on a project that aims to change how we approach learning new skills. The idea is simple — you can master any skill in 30 days using a personalized learning plan powered by AI and Notion. They keys: practice and discipline. How it works: You can fill out a Typeform, and our AI will create a customized 30-day program just for you. Structured learning: Each day, the system provides you with a clear task or lesson based on science-backed learning principles. Track progress: It’s all managed in Notion, so you can stay organized and motivated while learning. Why I built…

Hey HN, I've struggled with time-blindness my whole life. ADHD means I can write 14 tasks on a to-do list and genuinely believe I'll finish them before lunch. Reality disagrees at 11 PM when everything falls apart. DayZen is my solution: your day as a 24-hour radial clock. Tasks become colored arcs. When the circle fills up, it's full. No more lying to yourself about what actually fits. Just shipped 1.4 with Focus Mode The new version adds features I've wanted since day one: Focus Mode: Full-screen timer that zooms into your current task. Distractions fade, simple controls keep you on track.…
