http://lookingbackaretrospective.posterous.com I've posted this before while it was still in progress, but the final chapter has been added, and so I wanted to submit it one final time, for people to be able to read the work in it's entirety. This is the true story of one developers life while he worked for a start-up that never got more than a few feet off of the ground before a pitiful crash and burn. It spans nearly 4 years, and focuses mainly on the people and events that helped to define the work. It's very much a personal memoir, and not at all a dive into what kind of role our stack…

This took me 3 years to finish. (It is 100% self-published, not endorsed by Google.) So… I wrote a book. It’s a different book with a unique approach. It’s not a novel or a technical book. It’s a biography, a company’s biography. My hope is that it serves two purposes: to inspire founders and to captivate interior designers. It all started three years ago. The idea is to share data-based insights about sexual life I’ve worked in SexEd startups, and it’s wild that humanity doesn’t have this data. Most major academic studies have focused on sex primarily from a health and reproduction perspective, leaving many important and interesting questions unexplored (for many reasons) To promote transparency, the anonymous data will be open-sourced, allowing researchers, students and anyone interested to analyze it

Journaling is a great practice to learn more about yourself - if done daily. I tried it multiple times and couldn't stick to it. This project is how I finally fixed it for myself. It works by eliminating my excuses. There is only one question a day that I'll answer - no time spent on "finding the perfect topic". I only need to go to the page - not find my notebook or create a new note/paragraph in another app. I only left myself a relatively small input area, less than a page in a small notebook - that way the commitment doesn't feel too big. I really enjoy the process and it has become…

Answer the question "Before I die, I want to..." and post it to the wall. I built this as part of a journaling app I’m working on as a side project. Personally I find life goals fascinating - they're the things we think will make us feel the happiest and the most fulfilled, yet often people think they won't achieve them. I have tried to make it feel atmospheric with the goal of making you stop and think about your own life for a second.
