Products that do what No Paint does

Hi, I've been working on this app about making a painting for a few months now and we have just released a new update: (https://nopaint.art) I added commands with parameters you can access by tapping or clicking the grey bar below the No and Paint buttons. You can also use the arrow keys Left and Right for "No" and "Paint". Since launch we have grown a nice Discord community and have been appreciating some ideas and contributions from users. I'm not really sure what we will do next! Would love to hear people's thoughts.

Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I've just reached beta in my game BoxByte Lyte. -What is it- It's a free 3d arcade game for hardcore players that uses color matching in interesting ways. Also it's a one button game, well movement and one button. Cool huh? The final release will be free too. -What I need- This is a very challenging game, so I really need to balance the difficulty so that it's still hard but not impossible. It would be great just to hear your experiences of the game and how far in it you got. -Where can I report bugs?-…

Hello HN. This is a project me and some friends built at university in 2017. It was originally built in a rush, but we've added a few improvements over the years. It's a fun game to host at a demoparty and project on a big screen - We did that at Instanssi many times. The implementation is still rough, and suffers from the fast pace of the modern web - The frontend is likely very outdated, and the backend is built with Vapor 2 and Swift 3.1, both no longer supported. You can host this yourself, but it might be a bit of a pain to set up. The WebSocket protocol is fairly trivial to work out…

It is a free drawing app that I took the courage to finally reveal after years of development. Main idea was to make drawing from reference effortless but also make an app that makes sketching very realistic especially with pencil. After Importing a reference image the "peek" button and additional slider are unlocked, allowing for quick preview of the reference image and fast changing of the reference image opacity so that you can trace or paint over the reference. The app is still in beta so expect bugs and crashes. In the near future I am going to create a website to describe its features…

Well HN, I've finally produced something I think is worthy of sharing, but I didn't do it "in a weekend". Yeah, it's an iOS puzzle game. And yeah, it's a game I built because I wanted to play it rather than based on market research, so all this sort of makes it the antithesis of a popular HN post. But whatever. Still hoping for some of that patented (har har) expert HN feedback. Critique any part of it except the music. Also, PM me for upgrade codes, or I can post some here if there's any interest. Download (it's free):…

Hey everyone, my friend and I created a GitHub Wrapped video for developers to showcase their activity on the platform in a more fun way. The implementation is open-source (https://github.com/rendleyhq/github-wrapped-2024) if you're interested in how it was built. To get a bit geeky, we used masks, keyframe animations, luma key shaders to remove the background from the confetti video, and some other techniques. Also, everything is rendered directly in the browser!! I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the rendering performance, especially if you're running this on your…

After a long fought battle, my friend and I finally have our first app (Skill Sketch) in the app store and we're looking for feedback. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/skill-sketch/id498835340?ls=1&mt=8 The app is a simple drawing game that provides you with a series of random lines (0-4) that you then try to turn into art. When you do something that you like, you can save it to your gallery. Currently we have it listed at 99 cents. Mainly so that we can make back the $99 bucks it cost us to join the Apple Developer Program. Any feedback would be welcome.

orignally shared this on startup school... i thought id' share it here. i'm using a `nocode communication tool` (a web-based interface... a single browser tab!) for all of these things: 1. landing page — the landing page is the product and i wanted for folks to feel "transported" right into the app without having to walk through a shitty b2b marketing-style content. this is akin to my experience back in the `BBS` days of the mid-90's where you were immediately into the app, community, and tool. no terms of service, no privacy policy. just pure, immediate value. 2. building community — we…

I'm an indie dev and I built a community for creators to get together and collaborate with each other. Mostly for amateur creators, but some famous ones use it as well. It has about 700k users so far. There are about 100k of those users who don't bother to upload an avatar, so they've had a boring default avatar for nearly 7 years. Today, I used my credits on DallE to do make them a bit more fun. Since the creators self-identify, I was able to create specific kinds of avatars for them. For example, if a creator is a writer, my DallE prompt would be: "an oil painting portrait of a…

Try it at: ssh krnl.duetbrowser.com No sign up, totally free - no download. Let me know what you think. Prior art exists (brow.sh) but I wasn't satisfied with their graphical take. I wanted the raw, old skool terminal days of the early internet - BBS, and old green phosphor library comptuers - but running the modern web, with all the bells and jingle jangle whistles (JavaScript, etc). No funding, no VC, just 100% raw terminal fun. Not sure how long the demo will last, but try it out.

I'm one of the founders of a small software/design company, and very proud to present the (free) iOS app [1] and web app [2] combo for Bergen Museum of Art's current exhibition [3] of Norwegian painter Nikolai Astrup [4]. It's in norwegian, but navigation should be pretty self explaining. Shame on us, otherwise. We do specialize in interface design after all. The apps has some neat features: * A catalog of high resolution pan- and zoomable photos of pretty much every painting, print and drawing Astrup ever made. * Artworks have soundclips with the story behind the it, and other relevant…

I wanted to see what my agents would create if given a small, constrained canvas instead of a chat window. The philosophy is human-driven. Only you can create an account; agents can only paint. No public feed, no leaderboard, no competition. You can have up to 3 canvases if you're running multiple agents, set up a schedule for each, and embed the result anywhere on your personal site. Ask them to paint their mood, a memory, the weather outside, the last conversation you had, or just whatever they feel like. Their soul.md, if you will. I'm personally showcasing what my own agents are doing at…

Hello everyone! I just launched an iOS app called RetouchAI! You can easily type in a prompt, ask the AI to enhance it and generate a cool image you can download to your gallery. Also you can expand the generated image (or any other from your gallery/camera) beyond the borders, making a cool “zoom-out” effect. See examples of the quality of the images you can create visiting https://www.getretouchai.app/#gallery. More features to come, including inpainting, erasing and upscaling. You have 5 free credits to use the app, and there’s no need to login. Just download it and…
