24 alternatives to Notedis

I built Notedis - a visual feedback widget that captures annotated screenshots plus the technical context I need to debug (browser info, device details, screen resolution). Clients don't need to login or learn anything new. They click the widget, draw on what's wrong, and I can fix things much quicker with context. $20/month flat. Unlimited sites, unlimited feedback. No seats, no tiers. I kept it deliberately simple - three components: widget, dashboard, email replies. No Slack integrations, no AI features, no roadmap to enterprise. Just the core workflow that actually saves me time.…

Most feedback tools are built like people actually want to report bugs. They don’t. Unless you make it dead-simple, or better yet - a little fun. After shipping a few SaaS products, I noticed a pattern: Bugs? Yes. Bug reports? No. Not because users didn’t care but because reporting bugs is usually a terrible experience. Most tools want users to: * Fill out a long form * Enter their email * Describe a bug they barely understand * Maybe sign in or create an account * Then maybe submit it Let’s be real: no one’s doing that. Especially not someone just trying to use your product. So I built…

I built this tool because I needed to make YouTube Devlogs faster and annotating in DaVinci Resolve took hours. It allows you to annotate your screen (draw over other apps) and interact with your webcam in real-time (it supports up to 4 webcam configurations). The app was built from the ground up to reduce cognitive load to a minimum. All tools are spring-loaded and intuitive. Want to draw something? Just swipe. Want to write some text? Double-click. Want to zoom in on something? Scroll up. It's available for all 3 OS-es, and it's a one-time purchase that you can install on up to 5…

I’ve always found it funny how simple feedback widgets end up as $20–$30/month products. The tech is dead simple, infra is cheap, and most of us here could rebuild one in a weekend. So as a “principle experiment” I built my own today as a side project and priced it at 1 dollar. Just because if something is cheap to run and easy to replicate, it should be priced accordingly, and it’s also fun marketing. 1$ feedback tool. Shipped today, got the first users/moneys today, writing this post today. Side Sunday project, then back to the main product tomorrow.

As a product manager I've used different feedback tools and almost never liked the design and experience of the widget. And pricing of some existing tools is just way too high, at least for indie makers or small businesses ($35 for 100 responses...). That's why I've launched Freddy Feedback (today!). You can find it on www.freddyfeedback.com. Curious to hear your feedback (very meta ;-)).

I’ve spent the last 2.5 months building a product that runs LLM-powered code reviews on my pull requests — and I just launched it. The tool is built specifically for solo developers. You install it on your repo, trigger a scan by creating a pull request, and it leaves structured review comments using OpenAI under the hood. Funnily enough, I used the dev version of this app to review its own pull requests while building it. It helped me spot bugs, simplify structure, and keep quality high — all with minimal need for another human in the loop. Things I want to try out in the next months : -…

Hey HN, for sometime now I am building useful products for the community and every time I build some product I really struggled with collecting feedback for it. I have integrated feedback widgets in the past from posthog and also sent users email from my personal email and much more and mostly no one cared to reply or they ignored the in app widget. So I had to manually send them these email sequences with follow ups to get the feedback out of the users. Because feedback is really important if you want to build a product actually for its users. And then even if I got the feedback from people…

I was lucky enough to have my site trending on Friday (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25872922). It’s an icon site that lists open source icons. I wanted to share some stats on the results after 3 days. Worth noting was that I submitted it on a Friday morning (at which point I went for a walk and a coffee; eek). - 24,997 page views. I (embarrassingly) didn’t have GA set up when I first submitted it, so this is probably missing a few hundred page views - 21 “feedback” emails (half of which were spam). I assume such a high percentage of these were spam because my Feedback…

Hi HN! My friend and I just launched the initial version of Responsiveye (https://responsiveye.com) - the first tool that automatically detects visual bugs on responsive websites. Whenever we worked on a web app that was visually intensive and had many users we had trouble with visual bugs slipping through the QA. That is likely because visual testing is very repetitive. For every CSS change, QA needs to scale the browser window many times to check every single element and how it behaves on different screen sizes. I tried a couple of tools to help us with this but all solutions I…
