I created this chrome extension for myself where I track my own behavior locally and recommend myself content from platforms I want content from (youtube/twitter/quora/etc) in a feed. I made it public just in case anyone else was interested. I would rather have control over my own algorithm and own the data. Also, it gives me flexibility. Turns out I do like these feeds just not when I don't own it haha. Let me know what you think of my implementation?

Hello HN, I’m Kamil. The past months have been filled with news about ChatGPT, Bard, etc. Thankfully, there are some heroic attempts to bring that power to the users. I wanted to contribute to that effort with my side project, an extension for Chrome: it makes searching the history by meaning – instead of the exact words – possible. This is only a proof of concept, building on the excellent transformers.js[0], and running entirely in the browser. My goal here is to explore the possibilities unlocked by a client-side AI. I would love to have your feedback, to know which direction that project…

Search for your bookmarks by content! @ashwinlokkur and I built this Chrome extension that scrapes your bookmarks' content and does semantic search using transformer embeddings. Free and private since it's all in-browser. No LLM API calls ;)

Fed up with not being able to find pages that I knew I had visited in the past I wrote a Chrome extension that automatically indexes the url, title & content of every page you visit - allowing you to search your entire browsing history. Why is this useful? Imagine you know that last week you read a news article by author "X" but you can't remember where, or how you got to it; by searching your recawl history for "X" you can easily find the page you were looking for. http://www.recawl.com

Hey folks, so I built a chrome extension called [name redacted], an AI assistant that automatically completes your browser tasks for you. You simply enter your task, and [name redacted] uses GPT-4V to figure out the best browser action to perform next repeatedly until the task is accomplished. The idea is that you can delegate your personal tasks like online shopping or making reservations to [name redacted]. You can also use him professionally to find leads on LinkedIn, send status updates to your boss, or research your competitors and write an analysis document. I’m wondering if you would…
