Hi HN! I’m proud to share that we have built a real 3rd party iMessage client for Android. We did it by reverse engineering the iMessage protocol and encryption system. It's available to download today (no waitlist): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beeper.ima and there's a technical writeup here: https://blog.beeper.com/p/how-beeper-mini-works. Sometime leading up to October of 2022, the folks at the Signal foundation lost the plot. Signal has since dropped support for SMS, and is inexplicably adding "stories" to their personal…

Finally launched a native macOS app (AirText) that syncs Android text messages to Mac. It's built with Xamarin. If you have an Android phone but love your Macbook (like myself) give it a try and let me know what you think. URL: https://www.airtextapp.com/
