Products that do what Peerdiem — Discover and discuss one painting a day does
Hi everyone, I made Peerdiem (a portmanteau word between Peer and Per Diem, which means Per Day in latin). The idea is very simple, a new painting or artwork to discover and discuss with your peers every day. Content is currently only fetched from Chicago Art Institute Free API [1] but I'm planning to add more sources in the short future. It was built with a couple of technologies I wanted to try for some time. Frontend is made with Preact and styled with Tailwindcss. Backend consists of an FastAPI app deployed in a Docker container. We recently built 2draw, a Drawful-style game where players draw on a shared canvas and race to guess each other's drawings, on tldraw, an infinite-canvas SDK for React. We’re forming small groups of startups (5-10 per group) to get together and discuss problems, progress, and knowledge amongst each other. The monthly conference calls (about an hour long) will allow the startups to monitor each other's traction and hold one another accountable for meeting individual goals/milestones. We want the sessions to be results-oriented and constructive. We will handle the annoying bits like matching startups and scheduling sessions. All you have to do is join a circle and stay committed for about an hour each month. We believe in the power of peer collaboration, so…
