http://www.pianouniversity.com/ This is my project idea for the Coursera Startup Engineering class. It's basically going to be "Khan Academy" for piano lessons... nugget-sized videos to teach people everything about playing piano. The site doesn't actually have any real content yet. So it's super duper barely MVP. :-) Still, I welcome your feedback and questions!

I'm building a video conferencing app designed to facilitate better remote piano lessons. My hope is to solve a lot of the challenges piano tutors and new students deal with when taking lessons through Skype/Zoom. It leverages WebRTC's data transmission to send media, MIDI state, and (eventually) send sheet music files and other musical data. I'm surprised with how well the MVP has worked and would love to hear any feedback or suggestions!

The idea: what if you could get a “Masterclass”-style experience, but free, using existing YouTube content? So I made OpenCademy — right now it only has two quick startup "courses" (101 & 102), built from curated YouTube clips, all embedded and organized into modules. It’s still early (no accounts, no backend), but it’s bingeable. Would love thoughts on whether this concept feels useful or just... redundant.
