Products that do what Piny – Astro, React and Next Visual Editor for VSCode, Cursor, Windsurf does
Hi, Matjaz here. Piny is a visual editor that runs directly in Visual Studio Code, Cursor and Windsurf. It supports Tailwind CSS, Astro, React and Next.js. All edits happen directly in the code, so there are no abstractions, no cloud services and no lock-in. Piny doesn’t try to be all-in-one visual editor that would cover layout creation, styling, data, logic… That is no longer relevant in the age of AI coding agents. Instead, Piny focuses on two areas where it can really add value: # Tailwind styling Piny lets you easily style JSX / HTML with Visual Controls and Class Inspector (an…

I made this because building UIs in a lexical medium like code is super annoying. I have to pre-render what I’m making in my head, and then jump between the browser and IDE to test. I was inspired by the developer console in chrome and safari since I end up editing css there because it’s ironically more convenient. Hope it’s useful!

We launched Onlook [1][2] as a local-first Electron app almost a year ago. Since then, “prompt-to-build” tools have blown up, but none let you design and iterate visually. We fixed that by taking a visual-first, AI-powered approach where you can prompt, style, and directly manipulate elements in your app like in a design…

Hey hackers, OP here! I've been dipping in and out of this problem space for the last few years with many of my clients. Puck sits somewhere between an old-school WYSIWYG-powered CMS and headless one, allowing content teams to author content using real React components. Traditional CMS solutions were flexible but often resulted in page that completely broke the brand guidelines. Headless CMS solutions are a fantastic way of controlling brand by restricting UI changes to developers, but makes layout changes restrictive and slow as developers often need to get involved. Puck provides a visual…
