I built a lightweight project management workflow to keep AI-driven development organized. The problem was that context kept disappearing between tasks. With multiple Claude agents running in parallel, I’d lose track of specs, dependencies, and history. External PM tools didn’t help because syncing them with repos always created friction. The solution was to treat GitHub Issues as the database. The "system" is ~50 bash scripts and markdown configs that: - Brainstorm with you to create a markdown PRD, spins up an epic, and decomposes it into tasks and syncs them with GitHub issues - Track…

Hi HN, My team and I are building Tabstack to handle the "web layer" for AI agents. Launch Post: https://tabstack.ai/blog/intro-browsing-infrastructure-ai-ag... Maintaining a complex infrastructure stack for web browsing is one of the biggest bottlenecks in building reliable agents. You start with a simple fetch, but quickly end up managing a complex stack of proxies, handling client-side hydration, and debugging brittle selectors. and writing custom parsing logic for every site. Tabstack is an API that abstracts that infrastructure. You send a URL and an intent; we…

Hey HN, I just wanted to share that after five months of intense work and countless caffeine-fueled writing sessions, "Master Software Architecture: A Pragmatic Guide" is now available. Writing this book was a crazy time. I entirely focused on it, and it took exactly 753 hours of writing, editing, and image editing & resizing(!) until the premiere. Yes, the last one (images) was a killer. If you ever think about writing a book, reserve a lot of time for it unless someone else does it for you. As a result, I am handing you the nearly 400-page book. It is a guide that will help you connect all…

Hey HN, after years building some of the core AI and NLU systems in Google Search, we decided to leave and build outside. Our goal was to put the advanced ML and DS techniques we’ve been using in the hands of all software engineers, so that everyone can build AI and Search apps at the same level of performance and sophistication as the big labs. This was a hard technical challenge but we were very inspired by the MVC architecture for Web development. The intuition there was that when a data model changes, its view would get auto-updated. We built a similar architecture for AI. On one side is…

I've been building Pneuma, a desktop computing environment where software doesn't need to exist before you need it. There are no pre-installed applications. You boot to a blank screen with a prompt. You describe what you want: a CPU monitor, a game, a notes app, a data visualizer and a working program materializes in seconds. Once generated, agents persist. You can reuse them, they can communicate with each other through IPC, and you can share them through a community agent store. The idea isn't that everything is disposable. It's that creation is instant and the barrier to having exactly…

Hi HN. My name is Andrey. On a regular business day, I'm a software engineer working at AWS. Outside of work hours, I spend time on my hobby - writing code. I was once building a pet project that allowed customers to spin up fully synchronized blockchain nodes within just a few minutes. The backend was split into a control plane and a data plane, each with its own AWS account. Later I added two more AWS accounts. One for shared RPC nodes. One for the Analytics Service. Since I love to visualize things, I used drawio to visualize the architecture. With time, I noticed a pattern. I'd write…

I built that initially for an AI chat bot that allows teams to perform DevOps tasks straight out of Slack/Teams (with proper permission control, obviously). Useful to let developers perform mundane tasks, or help coordinate incident response. I ended up using it myself on my own machine to manage Hetzner and AWS boxes. I thought that may be useful to others. The default policy should be good enough, but if you don't like living dangerously, you can set it to `paranoid`.
