Hi HN, wanted to share a project that I’ve been working on recently. PodText allows users to find anything said on a podcast. You can also listen and share clips to a specific part of the podcast audio, simply by highlighting the text of that part. Currently there are just over 25k podcast episodes and I’m adding a lot more in the coming weeks (yes my GPU bill is painful). In order to monetize it, I’m building a sponsorship database to help sponsors find podcasts and vice versa. This will be sold in the form of a $99/month “PodText Business” subscription. I bet I could charge a lot more…

Totem▲141Repo: https://github.com/nnnkit/totem Bookmarking a tweet/article/thread on X is one click, but actually reading it later is like five clicks — open X, dig into history, bookmarks, find the post, and dodge the distraction of new feeds and notifications on the way there. So I had hundreds of genuinely great tweets saved and basically never read any of them. Totem puts that queue on the browser new tab, so reading them is just one click away. No feed distraction, no algorithm, no AI, no server, no account — it's all local. In one sentence "It's like the reading…

The other day I scratched my own itch and create an online bookmark manager for the podcasts I was listening to. It allows the user to mark points of interest and add notes to them to return to later. Feedback on the website would be amazing. It's only MVP, but I have a lot of features I am getting ready to add. Podcastmarks --> https://bit.ly/2QmRvjf

Hi fellow hackers, I'm Ved, I came across the pain point of having a reader that could provide threads as articles after scrolling them many times and missing the context of the original info shared. To solve my itch I decided to build a thread reader without Ads(all existing sol. were full of them), since X/Twitter API was very pricey, I did some reverse engineering to convert rendered X.com/twitter pages to an API and host it in a VM (which obv. was dead cheap). All of your data is saved in LocalStorage. Including your comments and saved threads(there is a known issue with Linux…
