Ever notice how customers ask the same questions over and over, even though you've got a perfectly good FAQ section? Yeah, me too. Turns out, burying it at the bottom of the page is not the most effective way to inform confused visitors. So, I built this cute little widget that pops up and says "Psst, got a sec? Here's what everyone else is asking."

Hi HN! We’re excited to share with you the public beta launch of our startup, HiDimensional (www.hidimensional.com). We are a platform consisting of senior engineering leaders who interview candidates and provide recommendations of the best candidates and their strengths. We then use the recommendations to refer these candidates to founders of startups that match their strengths and interests. The recommendation serves as a personal referral from the interviewer, so for candidates, it amplifies their application and fast-tracks them through the process. And for companies, they are receiving…

I learned Flask, Python, Uwsgi, and Nginx configuration in order to make this happen. Oh and if you're feeling generous, you can buy them for $2 a pop: https://prlibs.com/nocc

Hey HN - today I’m launching GitHired. A hiring platform that ranks developers based on what they actually build — not what they claim on a PDF. It’s called GitHired, and here’s the core idea: GitHub > Resumes Instead of trusting “proficient in React” bullet points, we analyze a candidate’s actual GitHub: their real tech stack their most complex projects how active they are what kinds of contributions they make which skills match your job description and yes, we detect fake “green square farming.” Why we built this Because engineering hiring is broken. Resumes are inflated. Activity charts…

Hi, we are working on a tool for speeding up test runs, by skipping tests unaffected by code changes. Effectivly, Saving 80-95% of the time, by skipping 80-95% of tests. We started a few months ago, and have managed to get into a few production CI systems. All our prospects and users are on holiday right now. So we decided to repackage and open-source for local test running. available here (https://github.com/nabaz-io/nabaz) under MIT license. One line change: pytest -v -> nabaz test --cmdline "pytest -v" Stalk us on GitHub, or just Star us. Ask questions, we'll answer in…

Hey HN, Inspired by Vercel’s automated preview deployments, I built a GitHub Actions workflow that generates an Expo QR code per PR—so mobile previews are as easy as scanning a QR code. How it works: • Every PR triggers a GitHub Action • The action starts an Expo server • It posts a QR code in the PR comments for instant testing on mobile No more manually starting Expo. No more copying links. Just open a PR and scan the code. Full guide here: https://torii.studio/guides/expo-qr-previews Would love to get feedback—how would you improve this workflow?
