Products that do what Preppr – a modern prepping/survivalist iOS app does
Hi, this is my first iOS app and built it for the prepping community as I saw all their existing apps looked like they were from 2010 :) It's 80-90% free (unless you are a power user e.g. create a lot of AI generated items, then there is a cheap pro plan). Enjoy!

I’ve been building and selling software since the early 2000s, starting with classic shareware. In 2011, I moved into the App Store world and built an iOS budget app because I needed a simple way to track my own expenses. At the time, my plan was to replace a few larger shareware projects with several smaller apps to spread the risk. That didn’t quite work out — one app, MoneyControl, quickly grew so much that it became my main focus. Fifteen years later, the app is still on the App Store, still actively developed, and still used by people who started with version 1.0. Many apps from that…

Hi HN, Spawn lets you build apps with human language. You can include images, audio and other files in your app just by dragging and dropping. Here's a demo video where I build the game of Snake in 60 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIqp7cvmE_M As it’s still in alpha, you may need to regenerate a few times to get the app functioning the way you want. So far I’ve found it’s pretty good at generating simple utilities and games. Over time, as both Spawn and the underlying models improve, it will be able to build more complex software. I have a bunch of ideas for future…

I've been working on an app in my spare time for about the past 6 months in between my day job and taking care of my 10 month old daughter. I'm launching a beta today and would love to get the communities feedback. It's called Pagify and it's an app that allows you to build custom Facebook tabs using their new iframe method. I'm quite proud of the fact that I actually got this out the door. This past year my life has been quite hectic. Let me know your thoughts and give me a "Like" if so inclined :). Thanks View the app at http://pagifyapp.com Skip the Marketing stuff and go straight to the…

I actually started it June 2011 to learn iOS, launched it in September, and have been steadily adding features and making improvements. It's something I use every day and I hope other people find it useful. Enjoy!

I'm sure I'm not the only iOS developer who has torn out my hair dealing with provisioning profiles. Manually managing them in the iPhoneOS 2.x, 3.x days or Xcode's "automatic" management have always been painful, especially when doing contract development for multiple clients. I made this app + quicklook plugin for my own use, but realised it may be of use to the wider community. It allows you to introspect .mobileprovision files to investigate which app they are for, which UDIDs are provisioned and so on. Does anyone like it / have advice on how I can improve it? This is my first…

I'm a iOS and Mac developer and the thing that mostly bothered me when I first started learning Cocoa programming was the lack of full featured sample code. Now things have changed and more projects have been released, but I still want to do my part. I've already released Color Picker Pro for Mac: https://raw.github.com/oscardelben/Color-Picker-Pro This time I built a copy of the iPhone Calculator which (I hope) will be simple to follow for beginners: https://github.com/oscardelben/iPhoneCalculator I hope this will be useful to people who are learning Cocoa. Feedbacks are very appreciated.

Hey HN community, I'm Sebastian, a Product Manager/Designer/Maker. I'd like for anyone with an idea to build and validate something quickly. I got into the #nocode thing earlier last year and wanted to see what's possible with the tools out there today. Over the last few months, I spent a lot of late nights and weekends on my side project. I'm very proud to present the result today. Meet Memoly (https://memoly.app). It's built entirely without code. To achieve my goal, I used this tech stack: Adalo, Zapier, Airtable, and Carrd. Memoly is available for iOS and Android. I…

Hi, I built this iOS App that would let parents create profiles for my children, plan their meals, put their meal preferences, recipes, lunchboxes, export the plan to their calendar, and share links to the timetable with others, and of course an AI helping with the plan and recipe . For now it has a free plan and also paid plan. Initially i built this as a web app but then after feedbacks from close people i developed this iOS app. I would really appreciate your feedback.

http://www.appnu.com/ Appnu is an opt-in mailing list focused on new iOS apps, where the subscribers can win free apps just by being subscribed. Once a week I'll mail out customized promotional emails containing apps in just the categories each subscriber selects. The intention is for app developers to "buy into" the mailings by giving away their Apple-supplied promotional codes, which I will raffle off to the subscribers. If a developer would like to reach additional users, more slots could be purchased. What do you think of the model?

The twist is that although it does (part of) the job of an app store, it's not (nor aims to be) an app store. It's a script you add to your existing web app that makes it "self-distributing". Check it out: https://progressier.com. Under the hood, it leverages the concept of "PWA", but it goes further: 1. It creates an installation page for your app that looks like an app store listing. Demo example: https://install.page/covid 2. It handles every OS/browser combination to create an installation flow that works everywhere (e.g. on Safari/iOS, with in-app…
