iOS Provisioning profile hell begone
I'm sure I'm not the only iOS developer who has torn out my hair dealing with provisioning profiles. Manually managing them in the iPhoneOS 2.x, 3.x days or Xcode's "automatic" management have always been painful, especially when doing contract development for multiple clients. I made this app + quicklook plugin for my own use, but realised it may be of use to the wider community. It allows you to introspect .mobileprovision files to investigate which app they are for, which UDIDs are provisioned and so on. Does anyone like it / have advice on how I can improve it? This is my first…
What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch

- NMNever miss another critical iOS security update againNov 2025 · earlynotify.com · ▲5
Raising my hand as someone who's checked Settings > General > Software Update way too many times. I got tired of finding out about iOS updates from Twitter 6 hours after they dropped, so I built EarlyNotify. It's dead simple: the system watches Apple's firmware servers, and when a new iOS/iPadOS/macOS/watchOS/tvOS update hits, you get an email within 15 minutes. That's it. No app to install. No account dashboard. Just an email saying "hey, iOS 26.1 just dropped." It's free, open-source, no upsells, just notifications. Would love any feedback! Happy to answer questions…

- RPRestaurant POS system built completely on iOS2011 · ▲51
Hi guys, I've spent the last 18 months building a restaurant POS app that can run completely and reliably on iOS. Combining Bonjour (Apple's implementation of zeroconf) with the excellent Cocoa APIs also made it a relatively magical experience - you can literally watch on an iPad as a waiter takes an order on a iPod connected to the iPad.…
