Hi All This is my personal project that is an IDE and AI assistant for creating tailwind components and pages. You can chat to create designs, then make small edits yourself, and continue chatting to refine them. I am always working to improve the UX. I have a time limited demo page here: https://langcss.com/demo Please let me know what you think! Feedback is welcome. Tech wise, this just uses NextJS (Hosted on Docker) and Azure Open AI.

Hey guys! I’ve been working on a web app called CodeCafé—a collaborative, browser-based code editor inspired by VS Code and Replit, but with no downloads, no sign-up, and zero setup. You just open the link and start coding—together. The frontend is built with React and TypeScript, and the backend runs on Java with Spring Boot, which handles real-time editing via WebSockets. For syncing changes, I’m using Redis along with a custom Operational Transformation system (no third-party libraries!!!). The idea came after I found out a local summer school was teaching coding using Google Docs (yes,…

Machato is a tiny ChatGPT client that supports all basic features, and more ! I was frustrated with other native implementations that focused on quick access but didn't give easy access to a history of what has been said. Since ChatGPT is a learning tool for me, I'm always ruffling through past conversations. The client supports markdown rendering as well as LaTeX. Feel free to try it out ! For those who see this thread early, you can use the promo code EARLY_BIRD to get a free lifetime license. Let me know if some aspects can be improved or if there are features you'd like to see…

Hey HN, I wanted to share a UI toolkit project I’ve been working on recently, born out of how difficult I found it to build a great UX on top of LLMs, and keep application state in sync. I’ve built: - A React/JS front-end library for conversational interfaces, which makes it super easy to bootstrap AI assistants and ChatGPT style UX: https://github.com/nlkitai/nlux - A set of adapters that simplify integration with AI backends such as LangServe and HuggingFace The library is highly configurable, easy to theme, supports markdown streaming (that was tough to get…

When the startup I was working for shut down, I knew it would probably be a while before my health allowed me to commit to a new role, so I decided to start working on some personal projects to keep my mind active and engaged. With AI-augmented VS Code forks being all the rage at the time, I wanted to take a slightly different angle on a code editor/viewer using the same core technology. That led me to building Tachi Code, a Monaco-based code editor that integrates directly into your browser as an extension to streamline your more ephemeral coding tasks, so you can spend less time…

Hey HN! I'm Andrew, one of the creators of Glass, a copilot for Next.js and React developers. Glass appears as a chat bar on your locally running Next.js server, and you can tell it to make changes like "build a dashboard" or "add a login button". Glass makes the changes to your sourcecode in real-time. Our goal with Glass is to automate away the easy but slow parts of frontend development, like locating the right file to edit, writing tailwind by trial-and-error, and copy-pasting boilerplate from Claude and other tools. We want to let you do all the tedious work entirely from your browser.…

Hey HN! I'm open-sourcing a little weekend side project. It's a terminal UI that generates parsers for webpages using AI, and a library that runs these parsers while you browse (it connects to Chrome over CDP). You can parse Twitter, LinkedIn, and HN posts and they get saved to a DuckDB database, so you can query them later. Contributions welcome! I wrote a bit more about it here: https://0thernet.substack.com/p/memo-2-selectron
