Recently I became interested in knowing whether the passwords I used were in the list of breached passwords. One way to find out is to send your password to the link here https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords. However, while the owner of that website is a well respected security researcher, I still don't think it's wise to send my password to another website. So I downloaded the 24gb file, hashed my password and grepped the file for it. Hey HN! I made a service to share passwords easy and secure but never promoted it. It's called instapass.io I noticed that people besides my friends and clients actually started to use, so maybe it will be helpful for you too! You share one-time self-destruct message using one time links and I won't even be able to see what you wrote. How does it work? When you generate a message the client-side makes a random password and use that to encrypt the message. The password is appended as an anchor tag which all modern browsers never send to the server. I have written a passwords/secrets manager for my personal needs. Maybe it solves some of your problems too. In light of the recent Ledger database breach (https://cointelegraph.com/news/ledger-users-threaten-legal-action-after-hacker-dumps-personal-data), I wanted to see if my address had been leaked after purchasing a Ledger Nano S for myself. HaveIBeenPwned unfortunately doesn't show if just your email or your email as well as address has been leaked, so I decided to set this up. I wish Ledger would just set this up for their customers, but apparently that is far too difficult for them. So here you all go, I wish you the best :/ https://www.didledgerfuck.me/

I keep meeting so many hackers with great ideas, and they have either a hurdle, or a lack of a path to get to where they need to go. So I have created this form that anyone can fill in, and then share, with the hope that it will be seen by someone who can come along and help them. I want a tool that gives a voice, a loud-speaker, to hackers so that they're efforts get recognized, and get the support they need. Please feel free to fill in this form and then share it.
