Self-hosted and self-contained web app password manager written in Go
I have written a passwords/secrets manager for my personal needs. Maybe it solves some of your problems too. It is written in Go and is a self-contained executable for a small web-app: https://github.com/jarmo/secrets-web There is also a CLI version if that is your taste: https://github.com/jarmo/secrets-cli To read about more technical details, look into the core repository at https://github.com/jarmo/secrets Any questions/comments/suggestions are welcome in here or via GitHub pull requests.

In plain words
This is a self-hosted password and secrets manager written in Go, available as either a web application or command-line tool. It runs as a self-contained executable, requiring no external dependencies. The application is designed for users who want to manage sensitive information locally without relying on third-party services. It suits developers and individuals seeking a lightweight, open-source alternative to commercial password managers.

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey folks. Last year I was fortunate enough to sign a deal to write a book with my favorite technical publisher, The Pragmatic Bookshelf. When I started out as an Engineering Manager many years ago, I found that there wasn't a huge amount of material that specifically and practically helped me understand how to do my job. When you learn to program there's all of these amazing tutorials, examples and guides, but what was there for new managers? In response to this, a couple of years ago I started a blog over at https://www.theengineeringmanager.com which got a decent amount of…
