There's been lots of discussion recently about finding other HNers to talk to / bounce ideas off / work with, some Google spreadsheets were set up to share details but they were soon vandalised. We wanted to create a way to browse Show HN articles, even those that might not quite make it to the front page. A couple of months ago, I realized I was wasting too much time on Reddit. So I quit cold turkey and created a website that would email me top stories from Reddit every morning. After testing it on some of my friends for a month, it is now ready for the world. It it always bugged me when I read or share an article, the discussion lives separately from the article. I imagined being able to add Google-Docs or Notion style comments on any website. We save a snapshot of the website and allow adding discussions that live side-by-side and directly reference parts of the article. Sylvain at Algolia was kind enough to accept a small pull request for HN search, which means you can now add things like http://hn.algolia.com/userfeed/pg to your RSS reader, to get the most recent comments from that user. Each feed item currently includes just the text of the comment, but it should be easy to add some extra info, like the article title and parent URL. I'll take a look at the weekend unless someone beats me to it :)

I saw that a lot of interesting Wikipedia articles regularly crop up on HN. So, just made a quick hack which lets you browse such interesting articles in a Stumbleupon fashion. This may be seen as a replacement of Wikipedia's own random article function which usually outputs stubs or other non-interesting links. I was lucky enough to have my site trending on Friday (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25872922). It’s an icon site that lists open source icons. I wanted to share some stats on the results after 3 days. Worth noting was that I submitted it on a Friday morning (at which point I went for a walk and a coffee; eek). - 24,997 page views. I (embarrassingly) didn’t have GA set up when I first submitted it, so this is probably missing a few hundred page views - 21 “feedback” emails (half of which were spam).
