There's been lots of discussion recently about finding other HNers to talk to / bounce ideas off / work with, some Google spreadsheets were set up to share details but they were soon vandalised. I had a spare afternoon yesterday (which turned into a long day) and here's the result: http://www.hackernewsers.com/ It's only open to people with HN accounts, it lets you post your biography, location, skills etc. Anyway, I hope you like it and find it useful.

We wanted to create a way to browse Show HN articles, even those that might not quite make it to the front page. I keep meeting so many hackers with great ideas, and they have either a hurdle, or a lack of a path to get to where they need to go. So I have created this form that anyone can fill in, and then share, with the hope that it will be seen by someone who can come along and help them. I want a tool that gives a voice, a loud-speaker, to hackers so that they're efforts get recognized, and get the support they need. Please feel free to fill in this form and then share it. Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. Based on the multiple "Who's hiring remotely?" and similar posts on HN, I thought it might be useful to have a site that aggregates remote programming jobs. There is way too much spam out and an inconsistent way to say "work from home" so traditional searching doesn't work (or rather, takes a long time per person). I've worked in a few remote programming positions so I figured I might know of some companies or searching tricks to find them. Let me know if you'd find this type of thing useful. If we can get some traffic going, then maybe we can start attracting companies to actually list…

I've finally launched a site that helps me check out Hacker News, as an adaptation to changes in the way I use Hacker News. http://hackerbra.in This site helps me get a quick view of current and historic Home, Ask and Best pages. Its specialty lies in: 1) the ability to open up only top comments for any item, inline without page reload. 2) the ability to see a user profile without requiring page reload.
