I was randomly browsing claude codes ralph wiggum plugin[1] and was surprised to see my toy project referenced. Since it appears people are getting some value out of it, thought I'd share it here... Hey HN, Over the past 10 months I've been using Claude Code heavily, and one limitation kept coming up: you can really only run one coding agent at a time. While one agent is refactoring something, the rest of the repo is basically blocked unless you start manually juggling branches and working directories. The core issue is that AI coding agents operate directly in your filesystem. If two agents run in the same working directory they quickly start stepping on each other’s changes. Uses agent and Git Hooks to automatically create Git Notes on commit, containing the agent conversation that led to that commit. Works if either you or the agent commit. It's basically the same thing as entire.io just announced that they got $60m investment for. Except I got Claude Code to write it last week, in my spare time, without really paying attention. I certainly didn't read or write any of the code, except for one rubbish joke in the README. I've got a Claude Code instance working on Gemini CLI support and OpenCode support currently.

Built this over the weekend for a friend dealing with chronic health issues who wanted help analyzing their medical records. Dr. Ralph is a Claude Code plugin that runs a 5-phase diagnostic workflow: records intake, literature research, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, and SOAP documentation. I participated in the Nvidia + Vercel 2 hour hackathon in SF tonight, and built something I've wanted, but hadn't tried building. I implemented an MCP Server and VS Code extension to allow Claude Desktop to place breakpoints, step through code, and execute expressions (assuming language support). So you can ask it a question that requires actually stepping through the code and now it can actually do that - check values for you, etc. It's _definitely_ not perfect. Have improvements? heylo! open sourcing a plugin that I've been daily driving for a month. And I promise, I can't go back to vanilla Claude Code. I'm a heavy Claude Code user, and a couple of things kept bugging me. Firstly, I’m not a developer — but I am a very technical, over-50, product person and entrepreneur. This project started shortly after Claude Code launched. I had already worked on a few other AI coding projects, and decided to see how far I could realistically take something end-to-end.
