Hey folks. Rolepad is a product born out of my dissatisfaction with hiring processes - both as a candidate and as a hiring manager. Processes that are non-transparent, inefficient, and full of frustration for both sides. This early iteration has focused on the application tracking aspects with a few extra goodies. These days it is common to apply to dozens of positions (some users track over a hundred opportunities). Without a record-keeping system, it can quickly become an unmanageable mess. I made a tool for myself to act as a filter for recruiter messages. I was tired of getting vague messages and doing the typical messaging back and forth only to hear the salary was too low or the job didn't have remote. The tool lets you create a form with a selection of only the filters you want on there. You give a unique link to recruiters that will take them to the your form They can fill in your form (or not) If their responses pass your filters you'll get an email. I've found it useful to maintain email filters for technical recruitment companies so that I can separate these from my other email and review at a time when I can give them the attention required, depending on whether I'm currently looking for work. This takes regular maintenance and so I've created a repository along with some scripts for automating the filter strings for my GMail account.
