Products that do what Reliable AI-generated text detection at checkfor.ai does

Hey all! I've been increasingly concerned about low-quality AI generated content polluting the internet. Other AI detectors don't seem to work well in my experience, so I started checkfor.ai with a couple friends. Please give it a shot on any real text and AI-generated examples and let me know how well it works for you. Thanks for trying, I'm open any and all feedback!

Hey HN, this is deepan from trulytyped (https://trulytyped.com). I am building a document writing app which makes it extremely easy to figure out how a document was created. Now that any text can be AI generated, how do you tell if something was actually generated or composed. It is impossible to detect AI after a piece of text has been generated. No amount of watermarking, linguistic checks or vibe checks work consistently. The AI detectors that schools and journals use are easy to bypass. Why do we need to solve this problem - First of all, this is not an anti-AI stance. I have…

I have a weird habit of guessing whether something's AI before I check, especially on LinkedIn and Reddit (for obvious reasons). The detectors I used to confirm were mostly junk and built to sell you a "humanizer" upsell, so I went and read the actual research on what gives AI text away in 2026, then built my own (no login and free) The main sources I used are these: https://arxiv.org/abs/2406.07016 https://arxiv.org/abs/2403.07183 https://aclanthology.org/2025.coling-main.426/ https://arxiv.org/abs/2410.16107…

I’m one of the co-founders of Doctly AI. I wanted to share our story. We didn’t originally set out to build a PDF-to-Markdown parser. It all started when we were building a RAG solution for a company that deals with regulatory agencies. All of their data was in PDFs, and as it is apparently with lawyers, they like to print and scan documents to make it hard on their counterparts. These documents contained complex tables that barely make sense, are rotated, and handwriting is mixed in between. Many pages are number ruled and potentially rotated. We spent a lot of time trying to get clean data…

I can't say "I created a tool" because obviously I only had an idea, then asked Cursor to implement it and 15 minutes later it was ready ;) Often I found I was manually replacing em dashes with hyphens in AI-generated text before I use them in copy, PR descriptions etc. It still feels like a shame to flare the text "you wrote" was not really human made. To automate these removals, here it is: super tiny online page. I made it for myself, but whoever wants, you can use it as well. I am not going to monetize it or promote more than this post.

I built a tool to roast landing pages with AI agents. I was gathering feedback from watching landing page roast videos, and figured out I could prompt LLMs to analyse a screenshot and roast based on the same criteria. It's not 100% accurate yet, but it has been really insightful when I've tested it on my own websites. Let me know what you think!

Hi HN, My name is Othmane and I’ve been in the ML field (building and shipping models) for the last ~5years. Today, as many people out there, I come across new AI tools every week. However I was a bit surprised to see little to no mention of established AI vendors that existed before chatGPT and how most use cases are heavily biased toward content generation (text/image) or conversational AI (chatbots). I built a tool that helps you find the right AI solution/provider based on your use case. It uses a curated database of 100+ solutions from established vendors. It covers things…

Since ChatGPT became popular, I've been wondering: what would an LLM-powered app that's not chat-centric look like ? Would an encyclopedia that's almost entirely generated on-the-fly be any good? Can we use AI hyper links to replace most of the typing? Since I haven't found anything close to what I had in mind, I decided to give it a try and see for myself. WikiGen.ai is a website that's almost entirely generated by AI, with a few contextual tools to assist users with readability levels, explanations, and fact checking. Hi HN, I’ve been working on Spiderseek, a platform to help track and grow website visibility in AI-powered search engines (e.g. Perplexity, ChatGPT, and other agents). Traditional SEO tools are expensive and focused on Google-style search. I wanted something lightweight and AI-first, so I built Spiderseek: AI Research – Explore domains and keywords to uncover new opportunities. AI Analytics – See traffic, crawl activity, and page metrics, plus insights from AI agents. Content Submission – Get content indexed instantly in major AI agents. Rankings – Browse the top 1000 domains sorted by…
