Products that do what Remote or Not – WFH policy per company does

Hey HN! Something I've created recently. As someone who believes, and advocates for remote, and work from home policies, I couldn't find a place where you could see the latest policy for companies. It's pretty raw, and I'm working on adding more information as I go. But I also accept contributions from the community. So if you have information, and can share it—I'd appreciate it. Let me know what do you think.

Based on the multiple "Who's hiring remotely?" and similar posts on HN, I thought it might be useful to have a site that aggregates remote programming jobs. There is way too much spam out and an inconsistent way to say "work from home" so traditional searching doesn't work (or rather, takes a long time per person). I've worked in a few remote programming positions so I figured I might know of some companies or searching tricks to find them. Let me know if you'd find this type of thing useful. If we can get some traffic going, then maybe we can start attracting companies to actually list…

AI has made building fast and cheap, but finding the right problems still feels hard. I built World’s Backlog (https://worldsbacklog.com ) to collect real problems directly from people working inside different industries. Contributors post workflow pain, others validate it, and builders can study severity, frequency, and willingness to pay before building anything. Would love feedback from builders and people who feel real pain at work.

Hi there, like many of you out here, I was affected by my company's return to office policy. When the policy came into effect, I lost a couple of hours every day commuting and my daily routine was disrupted. Imo, the company lost even more in terms of talent and in terms of trust from the employees. I might sound like a spoilt brat complaining about my cushy dev job, but I think of my little project as a collective voice where we help improve the working culture of the world. I made this site to track everything return to office and the silliness of it all. Thank you for checking out the…

Hey Hackernews! My names Olly (a Designer from the UK). I’ve been a long time lurker on Hackernews but now I finally have something to share with the community. Along with my friend Oliver (Developer, Sweden/Japan) we have been working on Remotewise.io. It’s a new resource and learning platform dedicated to remote work. We’ve both been working remotely for most of our careers. Over this time remote work has been gaining huge momentum as a viable and desirable way to work and we believe it’s the future. We’ve been working on this during our evenings and weekends in between our full-time…

When we are looking for remote jobs we generally browse job postings in remote job boards. In doing so we miss some opportunities which are not posted in those job boards. So if you are actively looking for a remote job you should also checkout career pages of companies which recruit remote talent. I have compiled a list of such companies and tagged each company with remote locations they are hiring for. Those who are looking for remote job do checkout this page. https://remotejobhuntbuddy.com/blog/remote-companies-list-a-to-c.html

Hey folks! I track time for 4 years already... Usually, remote work isn't demanding when for an engineer in a non-early stage startup. When you like your job and are excited about career growth, putting in extra hours can payout. But for some folks working enough hours and doing something on the side could be a better strategy. When you think of time as an investment, you may distribute it properly between a day job, side projects, and hobbies. How do you think of your time in the era of flexible work? Do you treat it as an investment, or do you go with a flow? P.S. If you entertain an idea…

I created this website about a month ago to solve a problem I was facing myself as an aspiring digital nomad. It is very important to find an accommodation with fast and reliable Internet. I also specifically wanted places with Ethernet access to minimize latency as much as possible since I (and many others) use a VPN hosted back at home. The database is in its infancy but covers 11 countries so far. I realize the UX is very basic and a minimum viable product. I intend to have someone help me overhaul the design (with ReactJS perhaps) to make it mobile friendly and more appealing.

I was thinking the other days; what's the biggest and the easiest market to enter and start winning money directly and found out, It's the job market. There way too much money in this market and choosing the correct niche in it might help you start a simple business that wins ton of money. That's how I came up with my project RemoteInSpain. There are tons of people who wants to work in remote and in spain is not an exception. So I created my website after some research and I have already 100 visits per day and the website is just 2 days old. Talk about a jackpot
