Products that do what Remy – AI-Curated Video Playlists on Any Topic does

Hey HN, we recently launched Remy, an AI agent designed to take the pain out of video search, and wanted to give the HN community a technical deep dive on how it works under the hood. The Problem: There’s a ton of valuable content on the internet, but finding the “best parts” of long videos is frustratingly inefficient. Current video search methods haven’t evolved much since the early days of YouTube and aren’t designed for today’s massive volume and variety of information. Instead, we’re left scrubbing through long videos or, worse, missing valuable content entirely due to decision…

Hi there! When Supabase announced their recent hackathon, I thought it was a good time to build something to learn more about so many of the new AI models and tech out there. From the different techniques of embedding documents to the future RAG. With the rise of short form content with TikTok and Youtube. A lot more knowledge is in videos than ever before. Finding specific answers within millions of videos can be difficult for any one person to go through. So the question is if there is Google that indexes text on website making it easier to find based on the context of on your question,…

Hi HN! Sean from MindStudio here. I wanted to share something we've been working on that I think introduces some new ideas into the "AI coding agent" space. Remy is an AI agent that builds full-stack TypeScript apps from a spec written in a new flavor of annotated markdown. The spec has two layers: prose describing what the app does, and annotations that carry the technical precision (data types, edge cases, validation rules, code snippets). The agent then "compiles" this into code: backend methods, typed schemas, frontends, test scenarios, and everything else are derived artifacts of the…

Hey HN, After GPT-3 created waves in the tech industry, a lot of AI tools were emerging and with that, some AI website builders But the results seemed way too generic to us. It felt like the developers were rushing to catch the wave instead of building a proper tool We took our time, did months of RnD and finally came up with something better than what others in the market are doing. It’s got better design output. While it’s still in beta, I wanted to show HN what we did. Will appreciate the feedback when you guys try it out. Here is the link to signup for the beta:…

I built a tool to roast landing pages with AI agents. I was gathering feedback from watching landing page roast videos, and figured out I could prompt LLMs to analyse a screenshot and roast based on the same criteria. It's not 100% accurate yet, but it has been really insightful when I've tested it on my own websites. Let me know what you think!

Hey all, Justin here. I previously built Phind, the AI search engine for developers. One of the biggest problems we had there was figuring out what went wrong with bad searches. We had tons of searches per day, but less than 1% of users gave any explicit feedback. So we were either manually digging through searches or making general system improvements and hoping they helped. This problem gets harder with agents. Traces are longer and more complex. It takes more effort to review them, so I'm building a tool that lets you analyze LLM outputs directly to help developers of LLM apps and agents…

Hi HN, I’m Ashu, founder of VideoDB. I’ve spent a big chunk of my life building video infrastructure. Not video creation. Video plumbing. The stuff you only learn after production breaks: timebases, VFR, keyframes, audio sync drift, container quirks, partial uploads, live streams, retries, backpressure, codecs, ffmpeg flags, cost blowups, and “why is this clip unseekable on one player but fine on another”. This week we shared VideoDB Skills, a skill pack that lets AI agents call those infra primitives directly, instead of you wiring pipelines with screenshots plus FFmpeg glue. Repo:…

Saw the remotion claude skills launch earlier, and honestly even though I was surprised how decent some of the results turned out to be I ended up never trying it out with claude code because I knew I'd have to setup remotion, bundler etc and if I was already doing it once I thought I might as well turn it into a site where anyone could just write messages and get a video without any prerequisites. I also know Claude Code is not something everyone has and setting up remotion is a pain. And one of the biggest lessons I learned from this whole experience is that Opus is actually not that good…

Hello everyone, I doubt this would be relevant to the kind of person who uses HN, but I thought I could share for some feedback. I built this site because there is a whole world of people who believe in new age spirituality and I am very much one of them. It is a site where you get the users gender their goals and their images and use AI and psychology to generate images of them in the process of achieving their goals. I am so deeply struggling with how to get this highly on Google. I don't even know if that is important anymore. What are your suggestions with distribution and getting in…

Hey, it’s Brendan – creator of Vid2Sum, a free AI-powered YouTube summarizer. I built this to help people save time by getting the key takeaways from long videos instantly. You can try it here: www.vid2sum.com I made this because, like many of you, I often find myself jumping around in YouTube videos, trying to find the most relevant parts. Instead of scrubbing through hours of content, I wanted an AI tool that could generate concise summaries in seconds. Making this effective required optimizing three key things: accuracy, speed, and usability. The AI had to generate relevant summaries…

Hi HN, We're making a new social network for AI-generated videos. While AI films are still a few years away, the niche of re-lipsynced AI videos is rampant and perhaps the fastest growing form of AI-generated content. Re-dubbed TV shows and movies are doing 10s of millions of views and have become their own new meme-format. In the last 7 days, videos made on the app did 1.1m views! We made eggnog.ai/remix for this reason. You can use the product to make funny videos to send to friends (cartoon remixes take < 20s to make) and live-action take 1-2 minutes (no sign-up required to make…

Hey HN, I'm an AI enthusiast and I am launching apps that use ML to solve problems that we all have. I realized that there are a lot of deepfake faces on youtube and social media, so I thought it would be useful (and fun!) to have a tool that can bust those AI faces. So I built DeeFace for 2 reasons: 1. Check if the face you're looking at is real or not 2. For fun! It's something that I from half a year ago would look at and aspire to build someday. I think it's soemthing anyone who's just starting out with ML would appreciate. I hope this tool is fun for you to use as it was for me to…

Hi HN, I’ve been working on Spiderseek, a platform to help track and grow website visibility in AI-powered search engines (e.g. Perplexity, ChatGPT, and other agents). Traditional SEO tools are expensive and focused on Google-style search. I wanted something lightweight and AI-first, so I built Spiderseek: AI Research – Explore domains and keywords to uncover new opportunities. AI Analytics – See traffic, crawl activity, and page metrics, plus insights from AI agents. Content Submission – Get content indexed instantly in major AI agents. Rankings – Browse the top 1000 domains sorted by…

Hi HN! I built this tool, because Large Language Models are hallucinating their asses off and I wanted to test just how bad it is with a topic I know best - myself. I'm sure there are other egos out there who google themselves and essentially this is the new googling yourself. It's early beta, so lots of room for improvement of course.
