After a lot of work, I'm proud to show HN my first real "startup idea". HN has been a real inspiration to me. Attach.io allows users to upload files up to 2GB (soon to be 8GB) and share them with others. Attach.io offers the regular file for download, and also if possible, an alternative preview version, so users can view files on their iPad for example. Hi all, author here. SX started as a CLI to let developers share skills across AI clients without having to rely on git for storage. This allowed sharing at the Repo/Team/Org and Personal level. However, the more we spoke to users the more we realized that non-technical users were actually using skills more and more but they had no way to share. And there was no way you were going to get your legal team to install and learn git. Hey HN, I built this to scratch an itch I had around what can be done solely using the URL. It's very minimal with no storage involved, and your files can even be encrypted. The only caveat is some platforms wont allow you to post long links. I thought about using a URL shortener, but storing and mapping URLs kind of defeats the purpose. However most browsers do allow you to open them once you have them. For instance I was able to "share" a 10MB file using safari, however 350KB seems to be the max for Chrome.
