64.surf – share files using only the URL
Hey HN, I built this to scratch an itch I had around what can be done solely using the URL. It's very minimal with no storage involved, and your files can even be encrypted. The only caveat is some platforms wont allow you to post long links. I thought about using a URL shortener, but storing and mapping URLs kind of defeats the purpose. However most browsers do allow you to open them once you have them. For instance I was able to "share" a 10MB file using safari, however 350KB seems to be the max for Chrome.
