Products that do what Rova - Discover a city and its people. (android) does

Hi Everyone, I've just launched my new android app Rova http://bit.ly/1kZOkwm which allows you to view streamed video stories about different places based on your location. There's also a pokemon go style element that pays you for visiting popular locations based on the community. I've been working on this singlehanded for a few months solid so I wanted to show you guys where I am. I'd love your feedback on everything from design to usability. Cheers and best regards, Robbi.

Hi guys! Our team of HN lurkers been hard at work for what feels like an eternity now and today we're proud to present our first public product: The Walkbase library for Android. You can get it at www.walkbase.com With Walkbase, app developers can push location-specific room-level context (e.g. in-game content, coupons, mobile ads) to various smartphone apps. The idea is to give you a logical context (e.g Starbucks, SOMA) rather than an approximate GPS position for your users and we hope devs will be able to build a bunch of cool stuff on top of this. We hope you like it and find it useful.…

I got fed up with the news reader apps out there so I decided to make my own. Its a simple concept where it tracks all your favorite news sources for new posts and the social shares it received. Then it ranks it HN/Reddit style using social shares as upvotes. It's not meant to be alternative to HN, just a focused way to track your favorite sources. Please try it out and let me know what do you think, http://telescope.surf/ Note: you can do 'Add to Homescreen' on mobile to make it as an app. Please leave a feedback or any feature wishlist you may have. Thanks!

Hello HNers, We have just released our Android App for Finderous and it can be downloaded from Goolge Play at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.finderous. Finderous (http://www.findero.us) is a location aware Q&A app with following places as the main feature. Finderous is also available on iPhone and was released a few months back. I would really appreciate some feedback on the app with comments and suggestions. Thanks

So, me (dev) and my friend (designer) have been building a website/mobile app to help users manage their game library (think MyAnimeList, but games) for a little over a year. We launched with a very basic set of features, and have been slowing expanding since then. All the code is open source, and most of the things we implemented were direct feedback from users (e.g. being able to import games from Steam/PSN, and the Posts feature). We don't show ads or have any kind of subscription. This is just a hobby project. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as honestly the hardest…

I love culture + travel, and one of my favorite pastimes is dropping into random streets on Google Street View. I just LOVE getting a tiny snippet into how people live, the architecture, and discovering hidden corners of places I'll probably never visit. I'm kinda weird like that. When AI came along, I started asking it to explain what I was looking at - and I learned a ton. I couldn't stop using this combo. So I built Streetwhip. It's kinda like reverse Geoguessr - instead of guessing where you are, you get educated about places as if you had a smart local guide with you. What used to be…
