I made a Terminal UI for OpenSnitch[1], an interactive application firewall for Linux inspired by Little Snitch. I’ve always wanted to create a TUI and found the perfect excuse to make this for usage on one of my headless servers. I wrote this in Rust to force myself to learn more, viz. async features. I wrote a minimal traceroute(1) clone that leans on asynchrony to reduce the time spent tracing a route. Underneath, it uses ICMP to do its job. The plan is to add support for UDP tracing and a path maximum transmission unit discovery mechanism. Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Frustrated by the complexity and resource drain of multi service monitoring stacks, I built Simon. I wanted a single, lightweight dashboard to replace the heavy stack and the constant need for an SSH client for routine tasks.
