Just to clarify the background a bit. This project wasn’t planned as a big standalone release at first. On January 16, Ollama added support for an Anthropic-compatible API, and I was curious how far this could be pushed in practice. I decided to try plugging local Ollama models directly into a Claude Code-style workflow and see if it would actually work end to end. Here is the release note from Ollama that made this possible: https://ollama.com/blog/claude Technically, what I do is pretty straightforward: - Detect which local models are available in Ollama. - When…

Hey ya’ll, Ishaan and Kartik here. We're building Omnara (https://omnara.com/), an “agent command center” that lets you launch and control Claude Code from anywhere: terminal, web, or mobile — and easily switch between them. Run 'pip install omnara && omnara', and you'll have a regular Claude Code session. But you can continue that same session from our web dashboard (https://omnara.com/) or mobile app (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/omnara-ai-command-center/id674...). Check out a demo here:…

I got tired of Claude Code forgetting all my context every time I open a new session: set-up decisions, how I like my margins, decision history. etc. We built a shared memory layer you can drop in as a Claude Code Skill. It’s basically a tiny memory DB with recall that remembers your sessions. Not magic. Not AGI. Just state. Install in Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add https://github.com/mutable-state-inc/ensue-skill /plugin install ensue-memory # restart Claude Code What it does: (1) persists context between sessions (2) semantic & temportal search (not just…

Hey HN! I built Retain as the evolution of claude-reflect (github.com/BayramAnnakov/claude-reflect). The original problem: I use Claude Code/Codex daily for coding, plus claude.ai and ChatGPT occasionally. Every conversation contains decisions, corrections, and patterns I forget existed weeks later. I kept re-explaining the same preferences. claude-reflect was a CLI tool that extracted learnings from Claude Code sessions. Retain takes this further with a native macOS app that: - Aggregates conversations from Claude Code, claude.ai, ChatGPT, and Codex CLI - Instant full-text…

Built this after realizing I was spending ~$1400/week on Claude Code with almost no visibility into what was actually consuming tokens. Tools like ccusage give a cost breakdown per model and per day, but I wanted to understand usage at the task level. CodeBurn reads the JSONL session transcripts that Claude Code stores locally (~/.claude/projects/) and classifies each turn into 13 categories based on tool usage patterns (no LLM calls involved). One surprising result: about 56% of my spend was on conversation turns with no tool usage. Actual coding (edits/writes) was…

As I started to use Claude Code to do more random tasks I realized I could basically build any CLI tool and it would use it. So I built one that controls the browser and open-sourced it. It should work with Codex or any other CLI-based agent! I have a long term idea where the models are all local and then the tool is privacy preserving because it's easy to remove PII from text, but I'd definitely not recommend using this for anything important just yet. You'll need a Gemini key until I (or someone else) figure out how to distill a local version out of that part of the pipeline. Github link:…

Gigacode is an experimental, just-for-fun project that makes OpenCode's TUI + web + SDK work with Claude Code, Codex, and Amp. It's not a fork of OpenCode. Instead, it implements the OpenCode protocol and just runs `opencode attach` to the server that converts API calls to the underlying agents. We build this to scratch our itch of being able to rapidly switch between coding agents based on the task at hand. For example, we find that: - Claude Code is the best executor & fast iterator - Codex (high) is the best for complex or long-running tasks - OpenCode for fine-tuned, do-exactly-as-I-say…

Since coding agents like Claude Code and Codex came out, I've been pretty obsessed with them. It's hard not to when you're getting a 20x discount on inference. I've also been frustrated by them a lot. I hated walking around with my laptop lid open while connected to a hotspot on my phone, having to tediously accept commands so I don't lose my root directory, and running out of RAM when running multiple agents that were spinning up dev servers in different worktrees at once. A lot of people would say existing cloud agents are the solution to this, as none of the above problems apply to any…

As one of my graduation project, I have developed a Claude Code -like Coding CLI, but with enhancement for API Testing: - Auto-generate & run tests (unit, e2e, Playwright, CI/CD, etc.) - Say bye-bye to hallucinations with built-in MCP Server to let LLM directly read from API Docs - Adding Agent.md support for better context persistence across your whole codebase - Automatic bug & security scans (logic is kind of basic but works great!) - Vibes, I want it to feel less "enterprise" but…

Hi HN, I'm Rob. Contextify indexes every Claude Code and Codex session on your machine into one local, searchable database. The current session, in either tool, can search all of it: /total-recall in Claude Code, $total-recall in Codex. I built this because I got tired of watching Claude Code read through massive files just to find a few functions. Sourcerer lets AI agents search code semantically and grab exactly the code chunks they need instead of burning tokens on whole files. It uses tree-sitter to parse your codebase and creates a searchable index. So instead of "read auth.py (538 lines)", an agent can search for "user authentication logic" and get back just the relevant functions.
