Products that do what Scoutflo Atlas – The first-ever commercial open source marketplace does
Hello HN! Vedant, Kalpesh, and Akhil here - the Co-Founders at Scoutflo. Vedant and I have been in the B2B SaaS Sales background for a combined of 12 years. We've worked with Browserstack, ZoomInfo and other SMEs and startups. Akhil has been a Software Engineer for over 5 years – specializing in SRE/DevOps at Zeta. We’ve built a marketplace exclusively for commercial open source (COSS) products. What is COSS? [1] COSS or commercial open source is the best of both worlds – combining the benefits of open source and commercial business models. Adopting a commercial model on top of the open…

A couple of years ago, I had an interesting idea. What if there was a marketplace where all the underlying tech was open-source? The order management system, the storefront, customer support, etc. The marketplace would simply connect to the seller’s infra instead of locking them in. If, for some reason, the seller is removed from the marketplace, their software stays with them and they can continue accepting orders directly. This model can be used to disrupt any marketplace from AirBNB to UberEats: building tech for home renters and restaurants and later, leveraging that to build a competing…

Hi HN, we are Deepak and Sama, co-founders of BoxyHQ (https://boxyhq.com/). BoxyHQ provides an open-source platform for developers to quickly integrate enterprise features into their software solutions. These include SAML Single Sign-On (SSO), Audit logs, with more to come :) Every B2B startup faces a common challenge when it comes to selling into the Enterprise; they need to allocate time and resources to support all the requirements to make their offering enterprise-grade. Supporting these requirements is a significant undertaking for the engineering team, especially since…

Hi folks! I'm Ulysse, and Tesseral (https://github.com/tesseral-labs/tesseral) is open-source auth for B2B SaaS. Early in my career, I worked on enterprise auth and security features at Segment. I've been obsessed with the subtle details of enterprise software ever since. For example, I wrote an implementation of SAML in the early days of the COVID pandemic because I thought it was fun. Over the years, I've felt frustrated that too few people have seemed interested in making auth obvious for developers of business software. Auth really doesn't need to be so confusing. We…

Hi HN, I'm Mohammed, a technical founder who loves shipping and giving back to the community. I'm open-sourcing the full-stack engine that powers my B2B product, apflow.co. What it is: A production B2B starter with a Go backend and Next.js frontend. Both are fully Dockerized with separate containers. No Vercel. No Supabase. Deploy the whole thing on a $6 VPS, or split frontend and backend across different providers. You own the infrastructure. The problem I was solving: Every SaaS starter I evaluated had the same issue: they locked me into someone else's platform. Vercel for hosting.…

I'm Fenil, co-founder/CEO of OpenFunnel (YC F24), building this with my co-founder/CTO Aditya. We're launching OpenBenchmarks (https://openbenchmarks.com), open-source, reproducible benchmarks for SaaS APIs, starting with the category we know best: GTM APIs. ## Why we built this More and more B2B software evaluation will/already runs through reasoning models inside agentic workflows rather than through people. And buyers increasingly pick vendors that are API-first and ship MCPs, so they can wire them into internal workflows. Strong reasoning models are skeptical of…

I built this as a small side project to learn and experiment, and I ended up with this! I used a subdomain from my personal portfolio, and everything else runs on free tiers. The project uses Nuxt, SVG, Cloudflare Workers, D1 (SQL), KV, Terraform, and some agentic coding with OpenAI Codex and Claude Code. What started as a joke among friends turned into a fun excuse to build something end to end, from zero to production, and to explore a few things I’d never touched before. I’d really appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

hey y'all -- can you please tell us if our job search tool sucks? :D we built it using an investor platform called Harmonic.ai to gather startup data, then contextualize it so that job seekers could find out about the most exciting startups hiring first (like if they just raised, growing headcount fast, have an ex-unicorn founder, etc). pretty sure we're the first platform doing anything like this. anyway, let me know what you think. really excited to launch this thing soon! getting feedback from the hn community first is really fun :)

I launched Open SaaS about a year and a half ago and surprisingly it’s become one of the most popular free SaaS boilerplate starters on github (https://github.com/wasp/open-saas). After 2 years of work total, I’m pleased to launch what I’m calling “Open SaaS v2.0”. Here’s a breakdown of all the features and updates I’ve made to it over time: * New Big, Shiny Things for v2.0 * - Complete redesign with Shadcn UI for a modern and consistent look (themeability coming soon...). - Script that autogenerates an LLM-friendly version of the documentation…
