hi guys. been working on something i think is fundamentally missing in today's workflow with ai agents. vcs. i find myself struggling with questions that agents can't answer like "why did you do it?", "when did u delete this folder? why?", etc. or trying to /rewind (after a /compact...) or basically `bisect` to find when and why something was done by the agent in the current / previous session. just like git did for code, i think we are the same core capabilities with ai agents so... i developed an open source solution for that (currently supporting claude code) would love to…

I've been exploring the (not so=) amazing potential of AI in coding and have compiled a list of tools. From AI-powered IDEs to code generators, this resource is my contribution to the community. I'm still on the fence about including txt2sql projects, as their functionality seems too basic to me. And I'm personally maintaining this, so your feedback is wellcome.

Hey HN, We’re two developers (co-founders) with a team of 20 who got tired of spending hours reviewing PRs, so we built Infinitcode.ai, an AI-powered code reviewer that: - *Summarizes PRs in plain English*: No more deciphering 1,000-line diff jungles - *Catches more than bugs*: Security holes, performance pitfalls, code smells, even typos (yes, we’ll flag “vurnerabilities” and vulnerabilities) - *Zero onboarding*: Works instantly—no “let me learn your codebase for weeks” nonsense. Why we’re posting: We’re in alpha and need brutal honesty. Roast our tool, mock our UI, or tell us why AI will…

GitHub: https://github.com/ClioAI/kw-sdk Most AI agent frameworks target code. Write code, run tests, fix errors, repeat. That works because code has a natural verification signal. It works or it doesn't. This SDK treats knowledge work like an engineering problem: Task → Brief → Rubric (hidden from executor) → Work → Verify → Fail? → Retry → Pass → Submit The orchestrator coordinates subagents, web search, code execution, and file I/O. then checks its own work against criteria it can't game (the rubric is generated in a separate call and the executor never sees it…

I built this because I got tired of watching Claude Code read through massive files just to find a few functions. Sourcerer lets AI agents search code semantically and grab exactly the code chunks they need instead of burning tokens on whole files. It uses tree-sitter to parse your codebase and creates a searchable index. So instead of "read auth.py (538 lines)", an agent can search for "user authentication logic" and get back just the relevant functions. Hello all, I'm a software developer. Over the last few months more and more of my work has turned into using coding agents instead of typing the whole code myself. Usually a few claude sessions at once, sometimes codex, one per feature or per revealed bug. I ran them in a split terminal for a few weeks, and quickly spotted two main problems. The first is that I couldn't easily tell which agent was stuck waiting on me and which was still working, so I'd cycle through sessions and checking on them. The second one: agents sharing a single branch step on each other. Two of them could be editing…

Now that AI is capable of writing large volumes of production-quality code, our role as developers is changing. Our primary job is no longer writing code. It’s planning and communicating software design and architecture. We have to do this collaboratively with agents and then review and iterate on their implementations. IDEs were not built for this workflow. So about three months ago I decided to try to build what I thought this new interface should look like. Runner is a coding agent purpose-built for this new “plan and review” workflow. It’s not for vibe coding. It’s for professional…

I submitted this earlier but it didn’t get any traction. But it’s blowing up on Twitter, so I figured I would give it another shot here. The system is quick and easy to setup and works surprisingly well. And it’s not just a fun gimmick; it’s now a core part of my workflow.

Hi y'all. Been working on something that should've been made a long time ago imo. It compiles codebases into O(1) hashmaps that the agent queries to discover the structure of your code/answer questions/write code. It also does complete static analysis checks on any writes the agent makes. Don't take my word for it though. Here are the benchmarks: https://benzi.fly.dev/benchmark. on 2/20 tests, Claude Code (mostly Sonnet on one task) regressed or timed out. Benzi didn't because of course, it has a map it can query and not get lost in the sauce. On the other 18 it…

I built this because I was tired of creating pull requests in 20 repositories just to change a single line of workflow job version. With Infra as AI, just mention the change. Agents work on all repos in parallel, read the docs, make a bunch of PRs and fill in the description. You can see the demo of the actual dashboard in the landing. Let me know your thoughts :) It means a lot to me!

Hi everyone! My team and I just open-sourced a bunch of cool agent dev tools: Invariant Explorer to visually inspect and understand AI traces and a testing framework, building on pytest.
