Products that do what Sierra, a DSL for building Java Swing applications does

Yes, I know hardly anyone uses Swing anymore. :-) I basically just did it for fun and thought I would share.

This is a project I've been working on since the start of Covid-19. I built an app so that I don't have to put data into online tools like JWT debugger, JSON formatter, URL decoder, etc... https://devutils.app The app works entirely offline and is open-source. I'm selling the pre-built version of the app to earn some revenue for my time. If you want to try the app but can't afford the price or don't have XCode to build the app, drop me an email (my profile), I'll be happy to provide you a free build. I would love to hear all the feedback/suggestions. Thanks!

After a pretty rough gig experience, I wanted to remind myself that I was a vaguely capable developer. I had recently jumped on the Rust train and wanted a Rust equivalent of React that is more performant and easier to work with. I also wondered if I could effectively eject Javascript. This project came from that... Nectar is a programming language that compiles your entire app, logic, state, and rendering, to WebAssembly. JavaScript is reduced to a roughly 10 KB syscall layer that only bridges WASM to the DOM. The origin: I set out to get React-style ergonomics with better performance, and…

Hi all, powerful open-source Lisp implementations are a dime a dozen, why not try JMurmel instead? The language is inspired by Common Lisp, except it's a Lisp-1, and it is mostly a subset of CLtL-1. Jmurmel can be used standalone with or without the Repl, for "#!"-style hashbang scripts or embedded in a Java program. It features [documentation for the core language](https://jmurmel.github.io/murmel-langref.html) as well as [documentation for the default library](https://jmurmel.github.io/mlib.html), a REPL, an interpreter, a compiler, macros, backquotes,…

I have written a from-scratch minimalist Java web framework, called Minum. I'd like to get your thoughts. The driving goal has been achieving characterics of plainness, frugality, performance, maintainability, testability, and ease of use. It has zero dependencies other than Java's SDK, yet provides a web server, routing, authentication, testing, logging, templating, HTML parsing, and a database, in 3800 lines of code, compiling to a 150k binary. It currently supports a web application in production. There are also example projects demonstrating its use, linked in the documentation. As the…

A few years ago, my team moved from Java to Go. Working on Go projects, we came across a variety of logging frameworks with different APIs outputting messages in different formats. Go seemed to be lacking a logging abstraction like slf4j, which has been so invaluable to the Java ecosystem. Without that abstraction layer, the APIs for configuring logging vary wildly across projects, and libraries must either add a dependency on one of those frameworks or simply avoid structured logging altogether. Dazl is a logging abstraction layer that decouples the logging API from specific Go logging…
