Hi guys, Just letting you all know that i've just launched the beta version of Skim.it The smart way to save, sort and share the best of the web. We are trying to solve the problem over information overload on the web and not being able to fins the time to read and remember useful content you discover online. I kept running into this annoying problem: I’d remember a really useful answer, but not where it was. ChatGPT? Claude? Gemini? No idea. So I’d end up digging through all of them or just rewriting the prompt. Built this to fix that. It’s a Chrome extension that indexes chats locally and lets you search across them all in one place. Once it’s indexed, search is basically instant. Still early. UIs change and break things sometimes, so it’s a bit fragile in places. Curious if other people have the same issue or if it’s just me jumping between tools too much.

Was getting annoyed copy-pasting stuff from websites into ChatGPT all the time, basically wished Cursor's CMD+K worked everywhere. So I built a little Chrome extension, InPageAI, that tries to do just that: https://inpageai.com Hit a shortcut on any page, it grabs the context automatically, and you can ask AI to summarize, explain, etc. You can also use it to write directly into input fields/text boxes. It's pretty early days, but give it a try? Would love to hear what you think, or if you find places it breaks!

Hello! I built this to solve a personal problem of where I didn't want to wade down large chains of HackerNews comment threads in order to get the key takeaways from the discussions. I built this Chrome extension, which supports both OpenAI and Ollama(local LLMs) to summarize comments and display the summary within Chrome's sidepanel. It's open source as you can see from the link, feedback appreciated!

I built Read Fast after realising I was saving hundreds of things to read and reading almost none of them. It automatically turns saved content into a scheduled briefing and sends it to my inbox at whatever time I choose. New version since last post actually allows you to bulk upload URLs. So you can just dump links here and Read Fast will scrape and brief for you. Great for actually reading the things I want to. Curious if that resonates with people?
