My wife was planning to open a micro-bakery and we started looking at software to manage recipes, inventory, orders, and production. Everything was either expensive, too generic, or both. The workflows for a small-batch manufacturer aren’t that complex, but the pricing acts like they are. So I built Craftplan. All the features were tailored to what she actually needed, and I figured other small-scale manufacturers (soap makers, breweries, candle makers, etc.) probably need the same things. The actual workflows for a small-batch manufacturer aren't that complex, so I built one and open-sourced it. Craftplan handles recipes (versioned BOMs with cost rollups), inventory (lot traceability, demand forecasting, allergen tracking), orders, production batch planning, and purchasing. The overall idea is to chart out the thousands of Mini PCs by benchmark and reveal the Pareto Front so you can get the most Compute per Dollar. Definitely a labor of love as I have a number of Mini PCs for my "homelab" (TrueNAS, piHole, Plex, basic stuff). It's free to use and gives detailed info on their pricing, business model, supported business types, available countries, prohibited businesses and high risk business support.
