Agentic problem solving in its current state is very brittle. I fell in love with it, but it creates as many problems as it solves. I'm Ben Cochran, I spent 20+ years in the trenches with full-stack Engineering, DevOps, high performance computing & ML with stints at NVIDIA, AMD and various other organizations most recently as a Distinguished Engineer. For agents to work reliably you either need massive parameter counts or massive context windows to keep the solution spaces workable. Most people are brute forcing reliability with bigger models and longer prompts. What if I made the problem…

Hey HN! I'm Fabio and I built UltraContext, a simple context API for AI agents with automatic versioning. After two years building AI agents in production, I experienced firsthand how frustrating it is to manage context at scale. Storing messages, iterating system prompts, debugging behavior and multi-agent patterns—all while keeping track of everything without breaking anything. It was driving me insane. So I built UltraContext. The mental model is git for context: - Updates and deletes automatically create versions (history is never lost) - Replay state at any point The API is 5 methods:…

Hi HN, There’s been a lot of discussion lately around context graphs, decision traces, and how AI systems reason. One thing we kept running into: when AI agents make real decisions, the why behind those decisions often disappears. The context is scattered across prompts, tools, policies, and approvals. Logs show what happened, but not why it was allowed. TraceMem is an attempt to make decision context durable. It records the reasoning, authority, and context behind AI actions as a system of record, not as monitoring data, but as memory. Happy to share more details or answer questions. - Tommi

Steve from Temporal here. Temporal is an MIT open source project for reliable execution at scale. I adapted+extended some of OpenAI's Agents SDK samples to integrate with Temporal. These demo agents can survive process crashes, scale to millions of executions in parallel and have easy-to-implement human interactivity. Just add a couple of Python decorators to your OpenAI agent code, run Temporal workers and you're ready to go. Check the video I did with OpenAI showing this in action (it's linked in the repo). OpenAI actually use us for ChatGPT Images and also their Codex code writing agent…
