LTX-2 is an open-source diffusion model that combines video and audio. Visually it's not at the level of Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, or Sora 2, but it’s open-weights, so anyone can play with it. I wanted to see how good it is at generating video from just audio. Off-the-shelf, it's not very good, but I found that if you run the audio through Gemini to generate a prompt, then feed that into LTX-2, in addition to the audio, the output matches the audio much more often. Foley sounds work particularly well, and one fun use case is uploading audio of yourself to see what AI thinks you look like.…

Hey HN! I built Topic2Manim to automate the creation of educational videos like those from 3Blue1Brown. The workflow is simple: 1. Give it any topic (e.g., "how ChatGPT works") 2. An LLM generates an educational script divided into scenes 3. LLM generates Manim code for each scene 4. FFmpeg concatenates everything into a final video Currently working on TTS integration for narration! Would love feedback on the approach and ideas for the TTS integration

I went nuts on Sunday after stumbling on this animator script for the automatic branch: https://github.com/Animator-Anon/Animator And then it's a ton of keyframing. I also found that the timings all have to be earlier than the timestamp you want to account for how long it takes to denoise to your new scene - so like .4 gives smoother but longer, .7 is snappy. To get stuff to keep showing up and stay dynamic you can zoom out continuously, it needs a UI, badly. If you're on windows you'll need ffmpeg too. I watched this when it came out last week:…

We kept seeing the same problem: creators make great content but the moment they dub it into another language, everything falls apart. Robotic voice. Music gone. Meaning lost. Lips not matching. So we built Vaani. Whatever language you create in, wherever you are in the world, your content can reach a global audience. We clone your voice, match your gestures, preserve your music, and optionally sync your lips to the new language. 10+ Indian languages, 20+ global languages, all in minutes. We built it for 2 reasons: So creators never have to sound like a robot in another language again So the…

Saw the remotion claude skills launch earlier, and honestly even though I was surprised how decent some of the results turned out to be I ended up never trying it out with claude code because I knew I'd have to setup remotion, bundler etc and if I was already doing it once I thought I might as well turn it into a site where anyone could just write messages and get a video without any prerequisites. I also know Claude Code is not something everyone has and setting up remotion is a pain. And one of the biggest lessons I learned from this whole experience is that Opus is actually not that good…

CharacterAI has over 20M active users and lets people talk to AI voice clones. I built a local alternative that clones any voice with <10s of audio and can talk fluently in over 10 languages, and runs locally on your Macbook or Mac mini. The voice pipeline currently supports MLX on any M1 through M5 chip. I used Whisper-Turbo for STT, Qwen3.5-9B-4bit for the LLM and Qwen3-TTS-0.6B-4bit for TTS. The repo also has a Websocket Transport to add these voices to devices powered by the ESP32 via secure websockets.
