ChatIDE is a sort of a DIY Github copilot X. Launch ChatIDE with a `Cmd + Shift + i`. You bring your own OpenAI api key. You can set the system prompt, temperature, and max tokens in the extension settings. The extension is currently not aware of any of the files in your project, although that might be cool to add later. Use it just like you would use ChatGPT in the browser. Feedback and contributions more than welcome.

I built that initially for an AI chat bot that allows teams to perform DevOps tasks straight out of Slack/Teams (with proper permission control, obviously). Useful to let developers perform mundane tasks, or help coordinate incident response. I ended up using it myself on my own machine to manage Hetzner and AWS boxes. I thought that may be useful to others. The default policy should be good enough, but if you don't like living dangerously, you can set it to `paranoid`. Install: `pi install npm:pi-hosts` GitHub: https://github.com/hunvreus/pi-hosts

It works by calling API endpoints which you choose to expose to it. This lets the chatbot complete tasks within your software in response to natural language queries. It’s also open source, so you don’t have to send user data to another 3rd party. We support Llama 2, but we haven’t fine-tuned Llama 2 yet (coming soon) so highest accuracy is seen with GPT-4 or fine-tuned GPT-3.5 (much faster). We started working together 2…
