Products that do what Telecoms blocking access to NIH studies does
It appears that at least two mobile internet providers are blocking access to NIH studies. For instance, I was unable to load this from my phone using 4G and had to connect using separate wifi. Several others have confirmed this. For instance: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/21716201/ If you're unable to view the link, it discusses the carcinogenic effects of low intensity microwave radiation from devices such as mobile phones and wireless modems. Edit: Appears that all NIH studies are blocked, e.g.,…

Hey HN, I'm a solo developer from Nigeria. I built Quran Unlock - an app that blocks distracting apps (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) until you complete your daily Quran reading. The idea came from my own struggle with phone addiction. I wanted to read Quran daily but kept getting distracted. So I built this for myself, then shared it. Some stats after 2 months: - 123K+ users - 64.9% returning user rate - 31M events tracked Tech stack: - React Native - Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics, Cloud Messaging) - RevenueCat for subscriptions - iOS Screen Time API + Android UsageStats App Store:…

I’ve created Nedagram that I think it's ready but needs extensive testing before announcing it: https://nedagram.com ## Problem statement: - during Iran internet shutdown, the government cut off phone lines and mobiles (no text or calls). Gradually they opened up landlines and then phones, but still texting/SMS was down with no real internet. - There were still ways to connect through proxies, vpns, DNS tunnels, etc. However, people had no way to send each other VPN config files or proxy urls/passwords/etc (they needed to call and read them over the phone) ##…

Since the HN devs seem to be in dev-mode, I thought I'd put in one more little request. :) This one line of code, added to the head of HN's html, will make the site actually usable on mobile devices: Here are the before and after pics of the front page: http://imgur.com/rMYfqwN,mwPDMvB#0

Hi HN, Henrique here from Brex. We just launched a corporate card specially tailored for life sciences companies (https://brex.com/industry/life-sciences), and every time we launch something new we get a lot of questions about how we chose to prioritize this feature or product, so I thought it’d be interesting to share here with the HN community. While I’ve previously posted about launching our initial tech startup card (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17418813), the decision to launch Life Sciences was much different in that we already had two…

Hi everyone, after months of hard-working, I'm glad to have something to show HN. It's an iOS app to help you directly capture and intercept HTTP/HTTPS Traffic from your iPhone/iPad with ease. It's suitable for any developers who would debug iOS without needing a computer. You can also share all traffic to Proxyman macOS via AirDrop for better previewing. - Please join a beta in TestFlight (iOS 14+): https://testflight.apple.com/join/nQ69eb35 - How it works if you don't have any devices: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpzpoTN8efM&feature=youtu.be…
