Hey HN! I’m Nikola, and I’m excited to share something I’ve been building: Thoth, a platform designed to help developers improve their typing speed and accuracy with real code snippets. Including daily challenges, ranked mode, global leaderboards and lots of customizability. Whether you're a beginner learning your first language or an experienced coder aiming to stay sharp, Thoth is here to help. If you’re like me, you spend hours coding every day, and typing quickly and accurately makes a huge difference. But the existing typing tools didn’t feel like they were tailored for developers, so I…

Hey HN, We’re two developers (co-founders) with a team of 20 who got tired of spending hours reviewing PRs, so we built Infinitcode.ai, an AI-powered code reviewer that: - *Summarizes PRs in plain English*: No more deciphering 1,000-line diff jungles - *Catches more than bugs*: Security holes, performance pitfalls, code smells, even typos (yes, we’ll flag “vurnerabilities” and vulnerabilities) - *Zero onboarding*: Works instantly—no “let me learn your codebase for weeks” nonsense. Why we’re posting: We’re in alpha and need brutal honesty. Roast our tool, mock our UI, or tell us why AI will…

Hey HN, We just shipped a new AI-powered feature... BUT the "AI" piece is largely in the background. Instead of relying on a chatbot, we've integrated AI (with strict input & output guardrails) into a workflow to handle two specific tasks that would be difficult for traditional programming: 1. Identifying the most relevant base URL from HAR files, since it would be tedious to cover every edge case or scenario to omit analytics, tracking, and other network noise. 2. Generating synthetic data for API requests by passing the API context and faker-js functions to GPT-4. The steps are broken down…

We launched Infracost on HN five years ago (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26064588) where our CLI generated cost estimates for infra-as-code, e.g. "this Terraform PR adds $400/mo". The idea was to shift cloud costs (FinOps) left, so engineers get visibility of costs before deployment and make better decisions. Earlier this year we started seeing agent traffic in our logs and it looked like coding agents were calling our CLI. But that CLI wasn't designed with coding agents in mind. We went down a philosophical rabbit hole to see if a CLI is even needed anymore given…

Hey HN! I'm Akshay, and I'm launching Seer - yet another AI workflow builder with granular OAuth scopes. GitHub: https://github.com/seer-engg/seer Demo video: https://youtu.be/cmQvmla8sl0 The Problem: We've been building AI workflows for the past year and kept running into the same issue: existing platforms (n8n, Langflow, Flowise) require full access to your Google services even for read-only operations. Want to summarize emails? You're also granting send permissions. Want to read docs? You're also granting edit permissions. If you want granular scopes,…

I built this because I was tired of creating pull requests in 20 repositories just to change a single line of workflow job version. With Infra as AI, just mention the change. Agents work on all repos in parallel, read the docs, make a bunch of PRs and fill in the description. You can see the demo of the actual dashboard in the landing. Let me know your thoughts :) It means a lot to me!
