Products that do what Tinboard; a terminal-based client for the Pinboard bookmarking service does
I've just made the first "proper" release of a tool I've been wanting to work on for a while now. As a long-time user of Pinboard I've been wanting to build a terminal-based client for the service, one that works "just so" and which I can hack on. I hope it might be useful to other Pinboard users too. See https://blog.davep.org/2023/12/19/tinboard.html for some more background and detail on the project.

We are longtime members of HN and this is our only submission requesting feedback from the HN community on our product, Clipboard which we have been developing for the past year. Clipboard is a service to save anything online using a bookmarklet or browser extension (think Dropbox for content on the web). Clipboard is built using open source technologies, including Riak, Redis, NGINX, Node.js, and jQuery. One of our core differentiators is how we preserve the visual look and functionality of the original source, which is evident in the sample clips from github here:…

Just wanted to share that I just open-sourced Pushpin today under the GPLv3 license. I've been building it since 2012 and it's become one of the most popular iOS clients for Pinboard [0] [1] [2]. It hasn't gotten a large update in quite a while, but it still runs perfectly on the latest iOS and iPad OS devices. Enjoy! I've been working on Skillow, skillow.com. It's a pinboard for everything startup-related. I would like to get some feedback. Anything would be helpful, thanks!

I made this plugin because I felt like existing bookmark plugins were lacking some important features, including: - The ability to reorder your bookmarks - The ability to delete and move your bookmarks in bulk - The ability to view lines of code around your bookmarks - Syntax highlighting in the preview window - Resilience to the content of files changing (e.g. checking out a git commit that changes the file contents won't delete your bookmarks) Let me know what you think! If you have any feedback, please create a github issue or email [email protected]

My partner and I are avid users of Delicious/Pinboard and wanted a quick way to add to and access our stored bookmarks. We created a Chrome extension to scratch that itch. It shows your ten most-recent bookmarks by default, with a fast search interface to find older bookmarks, and keyboard shortcuts for navigation. We plan to add pagination in an upcoming release, and have considered adding support for Safari as well as alternate bookmarking backends. The (mostly CoffeeScript) source is up on GitHub, and may be interesting as an example of caching Backbone Collections in localStorage or…

I love to use Flipboard on my iPad, but I was bummed that the experience couldn't follow me to the phone or desktop, so I decided to do something about it... I built http://ridesurfboard.com over the winter holiday and just finished it up last night, so I wanted to share it with the HN community first. The app turns any website with an RSS feed into a more human, flippable format. It's all HTML5/CSS3/JS and works best in either desktop Safari or on an iOS device, although you can use Chrome if you enable the experimental GPU Accelerated Compositing flag (a how-to is on the Surfboard blog).…
