Bit more than a year ago, we created the project called Budapest Cycle Track. The idea is simple: there are many cyclers in Budapest but where do they ride exactly? Which are the busiest routes? Hey guys, I built a route planner that is mostly focused on bike touring and using existing bike infrastructure. For each request you're shown what bike tracks/trails your route uses and can further explore them by showing them on map or going to the official trail route. In Switzerland PubliBike is a popular bike-sharing company. Thanks to its openly accessible API one can extrapolate the movements of these bikes around the cities. As a Christmas project I decided to collect this publicly available data and visualize the movement of bikes in the city of Zurich.
