Products that do what Using GPT-4 to buy outfits I liked from movies and TV shows does

In a nutshell: 1. I see so many outfits I like in shows, movies, F1 celebrity appearances etc., but I don't know where to buy those items, or they're too expensive. 2. Sometimes, I like the vibes of the outfit and I want to see similar items I can buy from my favourite stores. So I made this Chrome extension that lets you shop any outfit via picture. It uses GPT-4 to generate natural language descriptions of the items in the outfit, then searches the web for them. It also lets you set your preferred shops, sizes and budgets as filters, so you can see only stuff you would actually consider…

Hi HN, I built a Chrome extension that lets you try on clothes virtually in any e-commerce store. The entire product was built over the weekend using Cursor editor's multi-compose feature. How It Works: - Captures the product image directly from the webpage using GPT-4. - Uploads your photo to Cloudinary for AI processing. - Uses the Kolors model from Hugging Face via the Gradio API for the try-on. - Stores images in your browser cache for faster performance. To use it, you'll need to set up your OpenAI and Cloudinary API keys in the extension settings. Here is a demo video:…

I created this chrome extension for myself where I track my own behavior locally and recommend myself content from platforms I want content from (youtube/twitter/quora/etc) in a feed. I made it public just in case anyone else was interested. I would rather have control over my own algorithm and own the data. Also, it gives me flexibility. Turns out I do like these feeds just not when I don't own it haha. Let me know what you think of my implementation?

Hey everyone! I'm Masha, Stanford alum and creator of Fotofit. Fotofit is a shopping app where you can see outfits in any style on you, and buy those outfits. I'm using an LLM to generate descriptions of outfits that fit your preferences, and using SD to generate the images of them. I came up with the idea after using social media for outfit inspiration. It was tough to find outfits in my style, and even if I did find them, I didn't know how they would look on me or how to buy the items to recreate that outfit. With Fotofit, you can search in natural language for whatever style / vibe…

Hey HN, A pattern I realized when I shopped for anything online is that by the end of my shopping session, I would accumulated over 15+ tabs. It's so easy to click on "Open in New Tab" that I figured other people have this issue as well.

Hi HN! I built recommendation system using GPT-3 to figure out what product to buy on Amazon. The LLM asks questions to sus out what requirements I have and then also generates 3 recommended products based on the chat. It then searches a third-party Amazon API currently. Let me know what you think!

I started this because similar Chrome extensions were paywalling features and I wanted a free, open source alternative. I'm new to this, so I would appreciate feedback and tips if anyone has some!

Hey HN Community! We built this simple community search tool that basically allows people to search through thousands of past Reddit threads and tens of thousands of recommendations using tags. It mostly covers a few bigger subreddits like r/BIFL, r/MFA, r/AskMen, r/SkincareAddiction but along the way, I expanded it to include other smaller subreddits too. In addition to filtering by category, power users can also search by -Body Fit (big thigh, long torso) -Occupation (work in retail, teacher, doctor) -Age (18-24, 25-35), Size (height, weight) -Brand comparison (similar…
