Using GPT-4 to buy outfits I liked from movies and TV shows

In a nutshell: 1. I see so many outfits I like in shows, movies, F1 celebrity appearances etc., but I don't know where to buy those items, or they're too expensive. 2. Sometimes, I like the vibes of the outfit and I want to see similar items I can buy from my favourite stores. So I made this Chrome extension that lets you shop any outfit via picture. It uses GPT-4 to generate natural language descriptions of the items in the outfit, then searches the web for them. It also lets you set your preferred shops, sizes and budgets as filters, so you can see only stuff you would actually consider…

    I build a chrome extension to try on clothes before buying2024 · github.com · ▲6

Hi HN, I built a Chrome extension that lets you try on clothes virtually in any e-commerce store. The entire product was built over the weekend using Cursor editor's multi-compose feature. How It Works: - Captures the product image directly from the webpage using GPT-4. - Uploads your photo to Cloudinary for AI processing. - Uses the Kolors model from Hugging Face via the Gradio API for the try-on. - Stores images in your browser cache for faster performance. To use it, you'll need to set up your OpenAI and Cloudinary API keys in the extension settings. Here is a demo video:…

    I built a self hosted recommendation feed to escape Google's algorithm2022 · github.com · ▲214

I created this chrome extension for myself where I track my own behavior locally and recommend myself content from platforms I want content from (youtube/twitter/quora/etc) in a feed. I made it public just in case anyone else was interested. I would rather have control over my own algorithm and own the data. Also, it gives me flexibility. Turns out I do like these feeds just not when I don't own it haha. Let me know what you think of my implementation?

Using Stable Diffusion to show you in awesome outfits you can buy2024 · apps.apple.com · ▲6

Hey everyone! I'm Masha, Stanford alum and creator of Fotofit. Fotofit is a shopping app where you can see outfits in any style on you, and buy those outfits. I'm using an LLM to generate descriptions of outfits that fit your preferences, and using SD to generate the images of them. I came up with the idea after using social media for outfit inspiration. It was tough to find outfits in my style, and even if I did find them, I didn't know how they would look on me or how to buy the items to recreate that outfit. With Fotofit, you can search in natural language for whatever style / vibe…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

  • Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…
