Hey HN, We're Alex, Martin and Laurent. We previously founded Wit.ai (W14), which we sold to Facebook in 2015. Since 2019, we've been working on Nabla (https://nabla.com), an intelligent assistant for health practitioners. When GPT-3 was released in 2020, we investigated it's usage in a medical context[0], to mixed results. Since then we’ve kept exploring opportunities at the intersection of healthcare and AI, and noticed that doctors spend am awful lot of time on medical documentation (writing clinical notes, updating their EHR, etc.). Today, we're releasing Nabla Copilot, a…

Hi HN, I am Jiayuan, and I'm here to introduce a tool we've been building over the past few months: Devv (https://devv.ai). In simple terms, it is an AI-powered search engine specifically designed for developers. Now, you might ask, with so many AI search engines already available—Perplexity, You.com, Phind, and several open-source projects—why do we need another one? We all know that Generative Search Engines are built on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)[1] combined with Large Language Models (LLMs). Most of the products mentioned above use indexes from general search engines…

Hey HN! We've run our privacy-focused open-source inference company for a while now, and we're launching a flat monthly subscription similar to Anthropic's. It should work with Cline, Roo, KiloCode, Aider, etc — any OpenAI-compatible API client should do. The rate limits at every tier are higher than the Claude rate limits, so even if you prefer using Claude it can be a helpful backup for when you're rate limited, for a pretty low price. Let me know if you have any feedback!

I'm a Research Scientist who's been working in Health AI for over a decade. For the last few months I've been leading the AI Research Team at Counsel Health. Today we announced the launch of our next-generation AI care platform, built to serve as the responsible front door to healthcare. Backed by a $25 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and GV. Counsel combines the immediacy of AI with the oversight of licensed physicians to deliver care that is faster, safer, and more cost-effective at scale. If you're interested, please do try out our app. I'm curious to hear what folks…

Hi HN, I’m a solo dev building a clinical search engine to help my wife (a resident physician) and her colleagues. The Problem: Current tools (UpToDate/OpenEvidence) are expensive, slow, or increasingly heavy with pharma ads. The Solution: I built Evidex to be a clean, privacy-first alternative. Search Demo (GIF): https://imgur.com/a/zoUvINt Technical Architecture (Search-Based RAG): Instead of using a traditional pre-indexed vector database (like Pinecone) which can serve stale data, I implemented a Real-time RAG pattern: Orchestrator: A Node.js backend performs…

I'm a solo dev in Taiwan. I built 4 AI agents that handle content, sales leads, security scanning, and ops for my tech agency — all on Gemini 2.5 Flash free tier (1,500 req/day). I use ~105. Monthly LLM cost: $0. Architecture: 4 agents on OpenClaw (open source), running on WSL2 at home with 25 systemd timers. What they do every day: - Generate 8 social posts across platforms (quality-gated: generate → self-review → rewrite if score < 7/10) - Engage with community posts and auto-reply to comments (context-aware, max 2 rounds) - Research via RSS + HN API + Jina Reader → feed…

We used to rely on ElevenLabs for their TTS API, however the prices for Eleven and their competitors were enormous. That led us to developing our own TTS platform, Neets.ai, which we will grow and improve with a much lower price than our peers. We're always looking for developers. Hi HN, Hugh and Vince here. LLMonitor helps you record, trace & search your LLM queries and chatbot conversations. You can also capture user feedback on your frontend and correlate it with backend LLM queries then use that to fine-tune your own models. The project started has an internal tool in our previous (failed) AI startup. We’re aware the LLM observability space is very crowded. Apart from being open-source, we differentiate with: - Model-agnostic and minimal lock-in (no MITM of requests). - High focus on DX and dashboard clarity. - Support for complex scenarios: e.g. a chatbot that…

Hi Hacker News! I’m the founder of DocOne (https://docone.io). DocOne delivers the most relevant physicians for any medical condition based on expertise. We currently cover all US physicians and ~4500 conditions. Why? The complexity of medicine is accelerating exponentially. Medical knowledge doubles every few months. To keep up, physicians are focusing on narrow groups of conditions. While there are only around 40 traditional medical specialties, in reality there are >500 ultra-specialties. If there’s one thing we’ve heard over and over from physicians (when they refer their…
