24 alternatives to Voklit App
I built something, it's nice, it's an international calling app, it has faces behind it, no shady rates, no shady spams, built with love, really. It works on iOS/Android and Web. And the best thing about it? It's cheap, if you want to give it a whirl, and let me know what you think. p.s: Non-agentic means no AI has been shipped into it at all.

I built Voklit because I was tired of paying $2+/min to call banks and airlines overseas. Needed a US number that works anywhere with actual affordable rates. It's a web-based VoIP service (mobile apps coming soon). You get a real US phone number, pay-as-you-go minutes on top of a small subscription that covers the infrastructure. Bootstrapped, solo founder. Built with [Go/Next.js/ and Websockets] if anyone's curious about the stack. Adding more countries soon. Happy to answer questions or hear feedback.

Hi HN, I built this out of frustration of the evergrowing list of AI models and features to try and to fit my workflow. The visual approach clicks for me so i went with it, it provides more freedom and control of the outcome, because predictable results and increased productivity is what I’m after when using conversational AI. The app is packed with features, my most used are prompt library, voice input and text search, narration is useful too. The app is local-first and works right in the browser, no sign up needed and it's absolutely free to try. BYOAK – bring your own API Keys. Let me…

ThunderPhone▲104Hi folks, my partner and I just finished the MVP of a no-code AI phone automation tool called ThunderPhone. I'd love to get your thoughts. We've worked on a few phone AI projects recently, and have had a couple of persistent frustrations with tools like Retell, Vapi, etc. - namely that they're quite complicated to set up, and pretty pricy, around 10 cents a minute. After kicking the idea around for a while, we finally decided to go for it and build this. ThunderPhone costs 2 cents a minute for inbound and outbound calls, telephony charges included. It also handles a variety of integrations…

Hey HN, Chris here. I have been playfully hacking on a few ideas that leverage some of the latest AI tools (both open-source and proprietary). One in particular seems somewhat useful and is ready for a few more eyeballs. The idea is to make building very capable AI phone agents as easy as creating an online form. We think the ease of production will lead to some interesting enterprise use cases. I'd love your feedback (order a Pizza from Vito in the demo to see how it performs) and in particular your ideas about potential uses. Thanks!

Hi All ,I been working on my idea , A Voice CRM solution for 2 years. When I started brainstorming the idea the only option I have to receive phone calls thru browser was a flash widget or use 3rd party providers like Twilio or Phono . Thanks to WebRTC we now integrated our VoIP services to receive and make calls directly thru browser .Please have a look and give us your feedback .Thanks Voz.io Team .

Just a fun app I've been working on. Not necessarily AI only and works with any AI harness or just as an API.

Qordinate▲30Hey HN - founder here. I'm building Qordinate with a simple (big) idea: Most AI assistants talk to you. I want one that talks for you - one that can share, negotiate, and coordinate on my behalf with others. Reality: we're early. Today, Qordinate can: - send clean pings on your behalf (with your approval) - collect info/files via tiny forms and track replies - nudge people politely and close the loop with you - do basic actions via connectors (Gmail/Calendar/GitHub/Linear/Drive/Slack) - keep lightweight lists in chat (tasks, contacts, logs) Why I'm doing this…

A few months ago, WhatsApp released a calling API. I’d been experimenting with conversational interfaces for a while, and it seemed like a good chance to build something that could let businesses create voice-based agents without much setup. I’ve been working on this over the past few months, and the beta is now publicly available. The idea is simple: you point the platform to your website URL, and it automatically configures a voice + messaging agent that customers can call or message. No code required. My expectation is that many businesses will eventually offer some form of conversational…

Hi HN, I built Jetcaller (https://jetcaller.com ), a simple web app for making international calls directly from the browser — no installs or SIM. Built it after getting tired of clunky international calling setups while working remotely. I intentionally kept it minimal and shipped early instead of overbuilding. It’s live and very early. Would love feedback on usefulness, or anything that feels unnecessary. Happy to answer questions. — Sankar

Callzo▲6Every time I land at an international airport, first thing I want to do is call home. Just to say I'm here, I'm safe. But my family isn't always online on WhatsApp. And calling normally from a foreign SIM costs a lot for an international number. I built Callzo for that. Nothing like rocket science or latest AI buzz. Open a browser, call any number, done. Tried it on my Japan trip. Called home when I landed. On the way back, a friend wanted me to check iPhone prices at the airport — called him through Callzo while I had Japan's internet running. Whole trip, I didn't even use 10 minutes.…

I’ve been playing around with local LLMs for the past couple of months and decided to build something that can run on an iPhone. It’s a universal app built with SwiftUI and the excellent ggml library. The model is an SFT fine tuned and 4 bit quantised version of the RedPajama-INCITE-Chat-3B-v1 OSS LLM. It works reasonably well on recent-ish (~3 year old) iPhones, iPads and Macs. It was launched on the App Store yesterday[1] and Product Hunt today[2]. It seems to be reasonably ok at natural language interactions, but given its size, does pretty badly at coding and reasoning. Also, it…
