Products that do what We've built graphics comparison tool does

Hi, I wanted to share with You our project (https://comparere.io). We have built a website for comparing graphics and designs. The concept is simple, you have to just drag'n drop two designs you are having trouble to pick from. The idea has emarged when we stumbled across many different facebook groups for graphic designers, where they used to sometimes ask the community for help to decide which design is better. I had similar problem too. Hopefully this tool will help graphic/ux designers build/create projects that will appeal to more audiences. We are looking forward to…

Check out http://swrm.io Basically, we created a feedback platform, and launched it as a tool to allow designers to crowdsource feedback from other designers. The idea is that this tool would allow designers to improve, share knowledge, learn new skills, and consistently deliver their best work. There's a lot that still needs to get done, including making money, letting posts die out after a certain time, and making the site faster by generating image thumbnails. Any feedback would be appreciated and I'd be happy to answer any questions. Feel free to sign up. Thanks!

Hey guys, I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at my new site that I have put into private beta this weekend. In summary it is a site for photographers, graphic designers and web designers to get private feedback on their work. There are plenty of sites out there were we can post our work and get it seen but sometimes you need to be able to get some feedback before having it on a public display. This is part 1 of the longer term plan. The beta has the basics to enable users to review each others work, the number of images are limited at the minute but I will be extending…

Hey HN, I've been wanting to start this project for a long time, ever since I read an article about collaborative transformation of blob images[1], and I'm hoping it will take off here as I'm curious to see how it can grow. Here's how it works: - My website is available at https://chaospixels.com. You can find its code in the `src` directory of the linked repository. - Every day, I'll review all the open PRs (Pull Requests) and calculate a PR score based on the number of thumbs-up on the PR's opening comment. - The PR with the highest score will be merged and deployed. - Afterward,…

link: http://slector.com We choose designers (in this case, graphic illustrators) based on two things: 1) their work/portfolio 2) their rates. I've created Slector (slector.com) to simplify the process (based on my experience on finding and choosing illustrators for Hacker Monthly). Slector display all the listed illustrators' portfolio item randomly, and you get to "thumbs up/down" them. After that, click on the big "Generate List" button below to see the list of your favorite illustrators for hire. It's that simple :) The webapp is still in MVP stage so would really really love your…

Hey HN! I develop browser extensions, I suck at web design, and I've been exploring AI/LLMs. With my new found free-time since dropping work hours, I've developed a Design Copilot browser extension [0]. It does what it says on the tin - you choose a part of your website and the tool gives you instant expert design feedback - "change this font to that, add this much whitespace, use brighter colours .... etc" The tool is completely 100% free to use, its powered by bringing your own AI API Key, and the current LLM it uses is Google Gemini 1.5 Pro. I've yet to hit the free rate-limit and I…

I have ignored high paying jobs/ several contracting gigs to build Xervmon.com. I would really appreciate help to test the UI for UX. I want folks who can be brutal about the tool and give a feedback on which we can improve the UI and UX. The UI does standout, but to what level it stands out, I am not sure. One catch : You need to sign up to navigate through UI. First I was shy to show my work, then angry and upset when users commented and now am shameless. Be my guest and give me feedback so I can take it as another challenge to improve the user experience.

Hey HN, After GPT-3 created waves in the tech industry, a lot of AI tools were emerging and with that, some AI website builders But the results seemed way too generic to us. It felt like the developers were rushing to catch the wave instead of building a proper tool We took our time, did months of RnD and finally came up with something better than what others in the market are doing. It’s got better design output. While it’s still in beta, I wanted to show HN what we did. Will appreciate the feedback when you guys try it out. Here is the link to signup for the beta:…

I had this domain for some time and I never got around to make a project for it. This last weekend I finally managed to find a few hours to work on it and I've just finished putting the code into production. The site lets you choose some pictures from your Facebook photos and then it will let other users vote on them, as long as they know your URL. This way you can find your best picture. Some random facts the HN crowd will appreciate: - Technologies: Tornado, mongodb and memcache, served with nginx - The site took around 5 hours to design and write (including time spent in Photoshop and…

It was a crisp autumn evening when I found myself burning the midnight oil, yet again. As a graphic designer, I was knee-deep in a project that required intricate patterns for a client's new product line. The clock ticked mercilessly as I struggled with complex design software, trying to bring my vision to life. That's when it hit me – why couldn't I just tell a computer what I wanted and have it create the pattern for me? Why did I need to wrestle with technical jargon and complicated prompts when I had a clear picture in my mind? This revelation sparked a journey that would consume the…

Hi HN! I'm one of the creators of Specify, and we're thrilled to share this on HN. I must admit, I'm quite nervous about sharing Specify here, but I was also eager to get your feedback. We've been working on design systems for several years now, so my main focus is on designers and front-end developers, or anyone working with web interfaces. Less than two years ago, we launched Specify 1.0, which allowed designers and developers to connect their Figma files, extract styles and assets, transform them, and deliver them to developers' tools in the desired formats. In addition to working with…
