I built Bugsink because I wanted error tracking I could run myself, without maintaining a complex stack. It runs with pip install or a single Docker container, stores events locally (SQLite, MySQL, or Postgres), and is easy to run and keep running. I’ve been working on shuck, a shell script linter written in Rust. ShellCheck is excellent project and set the bar for this space. However, it's very slow and take up a far amount of resources. shuck is conservatively 20x faster than shellcheck and uses a fraction of the resources. shuck currently supports sh, bash, dash, ksh, mksh, and zsh. shuck should mostly be a drop in replacement for shellcheck but it is not a port since shellcheck is GPL. Hi HN, I thought it would be fun to plot a traceroute on a map to visually see the path packets take. I know this idea has been done before, but I still wanted to scratch that itch. The first version just let you paste in a traceroute and it would plot the hops on a map. Later I discovered Globalping (https://globalping.io), which allows you to run traceroutes and MTRs from probes around the world, so I integrated that into the tool. This is an ncdu clone written in Rust that I figured others might find useful! The main things that differentiate it from ncdu are: - It's very fast. In my benchmarks it's often twice as fast. - It allows you to send files to trash rather than permanently delete. Please try it out and lmk if I can improve on anything!
